What are you thinking?

There's a thing dentists do sometimes where if it's the first time they've seen a patient they'll pull something completely random out of thin air like that saying it could cause a "potential issue" etc. as a way to get their patient to brush their teeth and take care of their teeth to prevent real issues from happening later. Telling someone to brush their teeth more always gets ignored. Making them think there's a potential issue that can be avoided if they do gets them to actually do it though.

 

I hope that's all it is. One of the hygenists did the cleaning and I feel like she would have said something before the dentist came in if there was an actual issue. She used to work for my old dentist, so I've known her for years and I trust her. The dentist mentioned the spot when she looked at my x-rays, but I'm still not sure.

 

I can feel myself being a bit less tired than few weeks ago after a workout. Not a dramatic change at all but that's still something. Meanwhile, yoga still hurts like hell. How come old ladies are better in yoga than I do? They say they have back pains all the time but they still manage to stretch much further than I do. One of them said "Well clearly I'm not good at this because of my age, but at least I'm doing much better than young lady over there." Wow thaaaaaanks. I came here for self-improvement, not to be the person to compare to and feel less bad about their skills.

Gotta do better.

I am so inflexible it isn't funny. For gym class and a couple jobs, we always started with stretches. Somehow, despite what people look like and the assumptions we make from that, I was always the worst, or at least one of the worst aha

 

I wish I weren't so intimidated by this WIP. I also wish I could get back into my character's head all the way. The start came so easily; why am I flailing now with NaNo approaching?

 

Made my TV debut tonight! Fittingly, on a cop show at a Halloween party....perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Being an absolute bitch, I wish my brother and his gf would at least take turns going over to each other's houses. I'm tired of seeing her in my house everyday, sleeping over, waking up to her voice etc etc. Our house is a sauna because "she's cold" :/

 

I had an interview today at the hospital I was born at for a psychiatric technician job and five minutes after I got home, HR calls me to offer me the job.

Today ended on a really low note, if I am being honest. Two of my roommates and friends went out with their friends, but I have just realized thanks to a particular disappearing video app...that one of them actually is out with all of our mutual friends. And I just was not invited, not gonna lie I am really hurt. Like really very hurt. Not just because she went out with them, but because it is literally all of our friends. I asked her earlier during dinner if she had plans, she said she was "going out" I said "ooo have fun where to?' And she just said "out" and I don't know she could've just told me then so I wouldn't find out via this app, but anyway now I am trying to find this quiz which asks a bunch of questions then tells you which song to play to cry. I need that right now.

 

Ugh. I'm sorry, that sounds shitty. I've also been on the receiving end this many times in the past (part of the reason I don't use this kind of social media any more, or at least not in the same way.)

Sometimes it's hard to tell whether they're intentionally excluding you, or if it was just the way that a plan happened to unfold. But unfortunately (or fortunately?) there are times when a mean-spirited intention is made very clear. Either way, go and make some nice time for yourself instead x
