    Well, the term "porn addiction" is mostly thrown around in Pentecostal churches, so I wouldn't put too much thought into it.

    It isn't, really. To the extent that porn stimulates the release of dopamine, anything that causes dopamine release can be addictive for a person predisposed to addictive behaviors. It is definitely true that there are people who have compulsive masturbation habits, or compulsive sexual behavior, both of which are done in seek of the endorphin and dopamine rush that comes with orgasm. And so in that way, porn can stimulate compulsive behaviors. But as with many process addictions, it does not have quite the same addictive nature as drug and alcohol use disorders have.

    Credit to @brainwashed for the quite true "He says he became addicted.." rather than the questionable "He became addicted...". Terms like addiction (and allergy) get thrown around carelessly.

    I became "addicted" to reading at age 4, and look what it led to. (I'm here, aren't I?) Did you know that most serial killers also learned to read in childhood? Etc etc so many ways to be disingenuous. Man, if only I had fewer scruples, no telling how high I could climb...

    I agree with him on the better sex education, because he is right. Most parents are too embarrassed to talk to their kids about it and most kids find explicit content like that. It seems very reasonable to me, all in all.

    I will add, it's not just education about sex in America. The entire attitude needs to change. America needs to look to Europe as a model for handling the topic of sex. Example. It's not uncommon in Europe for a young son or daughter to bring home who they are seriously dating, go up to respective bedroom and have sex, yes with the parents home. (speaking generally) In the article I read about this practice, the parents said, well it's going to happen anyway, what you want them to have sex in the back seat of a car!
