    I've heard my mum say "i dont care if Tara's gay" to her sisters a few years ago but im still too scared

    Yea i think its pretty cool being gay except for those connotations

    That's ok, you will know when the time is right. I know it sounds stupid and you probably think you will never be ready but I thought that too and then one day I was.

    I'm just so so so tired of hiding it, it sounds silly like i want to tell my mum and bestfriends im gay but something is stopping me, its just so hard keeping it all locked up inside

    I think telling the first person/people is the hardest. Do you think there is one particular thing stopping you the most? Have you considered who you might tell first? Or how you might tell them? It is totally ok to be scared.

    WHat do you think your biggest fear is?

    Don't worry, you're not alone in this, together we can make the world accept us better one day, if you look at other times, this is the most accepting era of all, yes it's still extremely hard, but let's focus on the little beautiful things life offers today

    I concur that telling the first person is the hardest however it does get easier after that. Many of us experience a feeling of liberation and freedom that was missing before hand. Take it from personal experience after a while telling people who ask your gay will become second nature and no big deal.
