    Hi

i have been wondering how you would see a transgender guy who would try to date gay men. I never tried it, because I thought that having the boobs and the vagina is like the determinant of who I should date. I also don’t take hormones nor do i want to. I tried to date other girls this year but got the bad stuff for socialising in the lesbian circles. I left without regret, because I didn’t like the atmosphere. But it made me think if the opposite of that would be possible, namely dating a gay guy. In the mean time, I had some good experiences with a heterosexual woman. What else? I date people who I meet in everyday life, who are most likely straight. Most of my dating experience is with straight men, some of it good, some of it bad. I also don’t hesitate to approch women. But in my mind, kind of... Despite all the identifying and stuff, I’m still a masculine woman, and when it comes to gay men, I get the feeling like they are gay so they are not looking for a masculine woman... they could date one more easily than a man, it would be socially approved, they are easier to find than gay men, and last but not least, the body is a huge factor. For me it doesn’t matter if the partner has a oenis or a vagina, but I’m turned on by different features of the body, if not almost exclusively by them, so I completely get it if someone had a very set preference as to what kind of body turns them on. I have also had multiple partners who were straight men and were okay with my masculine personality, mind and so forth, they were turned on by how I look like. This is how I found myself in the lesbian dating circle and I was surprised by some people not wanting me there as a trans guy, even if wth all the female bits, and saying that it isn’t appropriate for me to date with lesbians?

So the question is, what are your thoughts on how it could work out to date in the dating circle of gay men as a transgender man who is not intending to take hormones or have surgeries?

Lesbian female here , I knew a few transgender men who were gay and here’s a answer you may like , your not stuck dating exclusively gay men . There’s bisexual, pansexual guys too . Pansexual and bisexual are more likely although not impossible to date a trans guy , especially pre everything . I was pansexual for awhile and I thought plenty of trans guys were cute . So don’t feel your stuck trying to find a gay man to be with . It’s not impossible to find one open to dating you , they are out there . Just keep a open mind and heart, he will come . Hope this helped alittle . -Slailie

So, you would think that some gay men would be into me with all that and some not? That sounds possible.

I would want to add that my first feeling is that I would be intruding the gay men, who are already more than fed up with the social pressure to date women, and who are not fine with dating with masculine women, otherwise they wouldn’t be looking for a man... (I think I forgot to say this specific thing in the first post in this thread, even though I wanted to, I left a thought unfinished)

As for sexual orientation, I’m bi, so I’m into both women and men, just I find it difficult to introduce everything about being trans to people from outside the LGBT community and find a lot more luck and understanding with those from it.

I’m not a gay man, but I’m a lesbian who was approached by a trans woman who hasn’t had bottom surgery on a dating site. I wasn’t personally offended or anything because she was honest. But, I also wasn’t interested because I’m not interested in that one key body part.

Maybe just make sure you’re very honest and, to Slailie249’s point, you might have better luck approaching men who are either pansexual or bisexual themselves since they like both.

    Not sure if that helps.
