Some of it you learn the hard way
Some of it you read on a page
Some of it comes from heartbreak
Most of it comes with age
And none of it ever comes easy
A bunch of it you maybe can't use
    I know I don't probably know what I think I do
    But there's somethin' to
    Some of it

    Lol!

I am starting to sing the song while doing the dishes. It is fair to say that I'm starting to remember the lyrics by heart.

Edit. Welcome, St00rm! I hope you will have great times here!

Air plants. Tillandsias. I might have a new addiction/obsession. A week ago I had none but now I have 14 and yesterday I walked 4 hours just to "take a look". My excuse was to buy soap my skin can handle and some essential oils. I could get those easier if I wanted to... I hate taking a bus and I don't drive so I walk a lot.

It was kind of an accident that I even got into tillandsias. I was looking for a bar of soap that day too and I was there because I had other stuff to take care of. That shop just happens to be the best place to get air plants in this city. They had some "rescue plants" there and they were cheap. I got 3 of them and had a long conversation with the shopkeeper. They also have an awesome website about air plants and after reading everything in there, learning all the scientific names and browsing their selection I had to get more. And I forgot to buy soap too so I almost had a real reason to go back.

I went back and chose 2. Then there were rescues... I chose two but there was a sign that said if I get 5 I get a discount. Ok, I chose 3 more. Then one of them happened to have four pups that the shopkeeper had hidden somewhere but she couldn't take care of them or sell them like that and she believed in my green thumb (I have about 40 house plants now) so she gave them to me. So I got 11 new plants.

It doesn't end there... no... I have build 3 terrariums for my air plants and I am planning for more. I spend hours in the forest one day just looking for stuff for my terrariums. My excuse was to get some food from there. I want a lake themed terrarium with some duckweed too. Just got to find duckweed... I remember seeing that somewhere but can't remember exactly. My "old" terrariums are forest themed with moss, pine cones and stuff like that (all legal to pick where I got them).

But hey... I am trying to quit drinking so being busy with things I like doing is the best remedy for alcoholism, right?

How does it end up that I accidentally agree to work a bunch of overtime? I said I was going to work it and then they told me I has to to 2 classes for work.

How much I want to meet someone, especially girls, but don't know how to go about it since I'm not out at all to anyone.

    Good day today.

Think I'm on the right track to not letting my anxiety get the best of me.

When your friend wants you to figure out what a number is in a language you only know on a very limited scale, and they tell you to work it out then write it out in numbers. But even though you understand the words, you can't put it into numbers because you don't even understand how to write such a big number out because you struggle with maths a lot.

:face_palm: Ugh, that was painful. I've always hated big numbers. Especially when you have to read them out and make sure you've got it right. One of my biggest fears is ending up in a presentation where I have to read out a daunting number that's written out in numerical symbols, and getting it hopelessly wrong. Not just because of the fact I could potentially read the numbers out in the wrong order, but also that I might get the number unit wrong (mixing up ten thousand, with the millions etc).

I could just sound it out, but that's still kind of embarrassing. Or just say "as you can see by the amount on the board there's a lot of this" or "here is the number we got". If it's a group presentation, I could hand the line over to someone else. But hopefully this just never happens. :pensive: Ah, anxious thoughts. It can be so frustrating trying to explain the problems I have with people who don't get it sometimes, I wish I knew people in real life who just got it, you know? Oh well.

It’s so hot and humid today that it reminded me of the summer days I spent in Florida as a kid.

Thinking how much Pride stuff I saw on display in the city, (crosswalks, a display in the middle of a mall with various handmade pride flags; gay, bi, lesbian, butch, trans, straight ally); pretty nice to see.

It's my birthday today. Somehow 23 feels old... like... what happened to 13 year old me who was excited to be a teenager and start high school? It couldn't have been 10 years ago already.... he definitely wouldn't recognize future him at all either.
