    I think everyone does this to some degree. Anyone who has ever argued on a topic they aren't an expert on. Political topics come to mind right away.

    It reminds me a bit of a quote I heard recently saying it's harder to win an argument with a stupid person than it is with an intelligent person.

    I try to keep an open mind to the fact that I may be wrong when presented with good information that counters my argument, but I'm sure I've been guilty of this before. I can get a bit hot-headed on certain topics, so I'm sure I've suffered from this at least once.

    I'd say I'm very cautious about claiming certainty and expertise about anything. I tend to research and study to the point of analysis paralysis.
