So I’m currently questioning my gender and I wanted to start an Instagram account where I pretend to be a boy and see how I feel. The only issue is I can’t decide on a name! I want something simple and soft. I’ve thought about Elliot, Noah, and Phoenix but I can’t find a name that seems to fit. How can I decide? Any name suggestions?

Just try out names, perhaps on your instagram account, and see if any resonate with you. I don't know if you like the names Cas, Riley, Shane, Julian/Jules but they're fairly soft sounding! (I personally really like your idea, Noah, too) Also if you are able to shorten/take from your old name for your new name that might work too and feel more personal, but you've probably already thought of that lol : P anyway good luck!!

I was reading a book recently and someone had a name that I really liked "Cal" I don't know if it's short for something probably Caleb but I loved the name and its a reference to "Simon Vs the Homosapien Agenda"

Of the choices you mentioned, I like Noah. It is a soft but masculine name.

    Some other options:
    Lewis
    Ben
    Alan
    Nathan or Nate
    Caleb
    Ty
    Julian
    Emmett
    Anthony
    Mac
    Jesse

I love Elliot. Noah is nice, too. I like Phoenix, but it seems more edgy, in my opinion. I remember someone on this forum wanted a name that’s more gender neutral, and they picked Robin (which I also love).

My first name is a female version of the middle name my parents gave me.
For my new middle name I took to the internet and just googled female names. There was one name I particularly liked, and when I still liked it a few days later it became my new middle name.
I didn't wanna think about it too much though, cause cis people don't get to choose their own name, and I didn't wanna end up obscessing over it either

If you know what your parent's would have named you if you were AMAB you could go with that. That's what I did and I think it works for me. There's also the option of a baby naming website, I've heard of people having good luck with those. It can take lots of trial and error but you'll get there.

Personally I am a fan of names with a very good meaning and are unique.

    Percy
    Kennett
    Rowan
    Rey
    Soleil
    Rille
    Nico
    Arthur
    Leif
    Rubin

I love Phoenix, but if you are going for soft, it won’t quite fit.

I think Caspar is a really cool name, I also like Lucas, Finn, Alec, Arthur and Jacob as names.

But at the end of the day its your choice, so only go with what feels right!
