I adore Queen. But you're forgetting another icon of the era - David Bowie! I live for his music.

I've been listening to the artists you mentioned since I was in high school, I'm 33 and still listen to them and prefer classic rock over anything today.

While I'm more into emo and punk rock, I love listening to Queen as they had a different way of seeing the world and telling stories with their music

Queen for sure, but old rock, Buddy Holly. He was just simple and pure and I think the basis for the early Beetles

Of those three I prefer Queen, but most of the artists I do listen to a lot are heavily influenced by all three of them.

I was subbing a high-school physics class a few years ago. The kids were talking about the Beatles as if it was just yesterday they broke up. ("How could Yoko do that?!?") And they were devastated by Keith Moon's death too.

    Madonna.....
Now she is the queen for sure. Did so much for the LGBT community. She talked about, sang out aids/ same sex relationships in the 1980s and 1990s and pushed this envelope wide and far. 300 million albums sold. Madonna is the top selling female artist of ALL time. No other woman has come close. Only the Beatles, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson have sold more. Madonna had 13 UK number 1s spanning over 3 Decades. And album 14 is due soon......sorry I'm a Stan....the videos, they are like film clips, the effort she put in, not many come close to the queen for sure.

Bowie, yes! Been on a major Bowie kick for a while now. I'm digging early 70s stuff, all the Ziggy Stardust album, Rebel Rebel, Jean Genie, etc. Love those raw guitars.

Sick and tired of hearing Bohemian Rhapsody everywhere! I know I know, the movie, but still. Queen is great, but never one of my favorites.

I just got a record player for Christmas, and as a gift from one of my teachers I got a record set of all the live recordings of Bruce Springsteen during '75-'81 including the Wembley recordings, I love my school
