What are your resolutions for the upcoming year, if you have any?

And also, here are last year's resolutions if you are curious.

    - Re-lose those 20 lbs that I gained back (luckily lost 40, so some wiggle room), and then keep going.
    - After January and maybe some of February, when my work schedule should settle down a bit, start going to the gym 5 days/week.
    - Keep eating a healthy, balanced diet.
    - Get out more.

*Make some more friends. After university, my friend pool took a nosedive. It'd be nice to have a couple friends that I could hang out with on a regular basis rather than a couple LDR friends and nearby friends that I hang out with every several months.
*Get a decent job. Retail is already killing me lol

I haven't come up with mine yet but I always include "Do five things I've never done before."

Figure out what I'm doing with my life. I feel completely stuck in every way

i never set up concrete new year’s resolutions because i know that it’ll just make me feel worse about myself if i end up not meeting them, and i found myself using dates like new year’s as a sort of excuse to postpone/cancel change (ie saying “i will do X starting jan 1!” and then if i failed to do so, i’d have an excuse to postpone it until the next jan 1...) but i did recently decide that starting immediately i would start tackling a whole bunch of silly irrational fears, because I figured that if i even let small irrational things get in the way... how can i ever expect to deal with bigger issues? and this close to the new year, i suppose that sort of counts as a new year’s resolution, just starting a week earlier

Gee, New Year resolutions rarely are sustained in the long one. Look at all the failed diets people go on at the beginning of the year. After a few weeks those are often forgotten.

My only hope is to get through the year in one piece. I feel as if entering a long, dark tunnel. I need to come out to the rest of my family and friends while preparing to split with my wife and move out. It will be a tough year! I can only hope the following year begins on a calmer and more peaceful note than how this new year begins.

For me, it would be prioritizing both my mental and physical health more, as well as reach some milestones in my transition.
    -Quit smoking
    -Go vegan
    -Get back into swimming
    -Get top surgery (May 21!!!)
    -Get another tattoo
    -Visit extended family
-Have my legal name and gender marker changed

I don't make new years resolutions anymore. I used to, they were always the same- get in shape, exercise more, eat healthy. But I'd quickly fall back to my old habits. However, this past year I started to do things like eat more veggies and beans and try to eat organic foods when they were on sale and eat meatless a few nights a week and I plan to stick to these things. But I don't really consider that a new years resolution.

Cut back, exercise, money management, etc. I need to work on some things.

I really want to make some decent IRL friends and get involved with more things outside of the internet. I've gone through enough of my life lonely and I want some people I can hang out/spend time with. I kind of worked on that this year, but I want more of a social circle. I also want to start dating, but that's less of a priority for me and is contingent on improving my self-esteem.

Look into therapy again and possibly medication, practice mindfulness.

Get back into exercising more and spending more of my time outside, hopefully lose ~20 pounds.

Start drawing again and improve my art skills.

I would like for my husband and I to ramp up our quality time together. We're still romantic and very physical with each other, but after 21 years you can sit together and do your own thing (read our own books, do computer stuff, watch TV) and really feel the presence of the other without really doing much, which is nice, but I think we've fallen a bit too much into that. I'd like to work on that, even if it's just going out to the movies instead of watching a movie at home, or going on walks in the evening. I'd also like us to do a few more weekends out of town this year and the like. One thing I would really like is for us to cook together more often--maybe a couple times of week take the time to open a bottle of wine and make something truly complicated together (like breaking out the pasta making equipment). I've already discussed it with him and we're on the same page, so hopefully if we just don't get too lazy. I'm thinking it will be a good year.

More discipline and better use of time, expanding my exercise routine and beginning my graduate job applications early in the year. It's going to be a big one this year, I think, so I'd better try to get it right.

Focus more on positivity, discover new things and people to fall in love with, be kinder to people.
