I recently felt more confident in understanding my feelings and owning that I am a lesbian. With that I joined another online community that is more public and have made a friend... we chat daily and are meeting in person soon. I’m nervous and not sure what to do because I have developed a crush on her and I don’t know if the same is true for her. I have had crushes in the past but that’s as far as it went...I never told them or flirted with them. This one is different because we met in a gay online community and we are both new to discovering our orientation. I have never actively flirted with a girl in this context and not sure if I’ll be able to pick up on the signs if she likes me as a friend or more. Just needed to share my nervousness and excitement.

I have zero experience in this area, but I will throw my two cents in anyway. The good thing, as you stated, is that you met on a gay site and you already know that you are both of you new to this. I'm sure she is just as nervous. Just go and talk and get to know each other. Good luck
Thank you! I think I just needed to share my excitement...and nervousness somewhere. I can’t share this with anyone I personally know in my day to day life since no one knows about my orientation. I feel like I have the emotions of a teenager stuck in a grown woman’s body
I met a woman i talked briefly to on ######. I was super nervous, but it went well. There was obviously a mutual attraction on ######, so it made it a little easier in person. We have plans to meet up again..just know that you two met on a gay site, and both of you agreed to meet in person. thats so awesome! I hope it goes well.
