The "first computer" thread got me thinking, and I started to remember some of the games I used to play on my old computers.

One of the games I remember playing was a Berenstain Bears' game that my parents don't seem to remember.

I remember a bunch more games, but I have no idea what they were called!!

Jet fighter 2 released in 1990 was probably the earliest pc game I remember playing quite a bit.

Had an NES with a bunch of games as well but that’s not a pc.

The oldest one I remember is 'Mavis Beacon teaches typing' which sounds really boring now but I spent many hours completely entertained by this chameleon eating bugs as I learned to type.

From personal experience, I remember nothing. We didn't have a computer, and I don't think my mother approved of computer games. She didn't like computers, either, but that's another story...

The first game's name I remember is Pac-Man, although I only knew it by name. Also a lot of people who played it never played it on a computer--it was arcade game, and later on the Atari game system. But it was also available for home computers. I even remember having some pencils that had some Pac-Man reference printed on them in seventh grade (1983), although I wasn't being trendy--I think it was probably one of those "need pencils, these are cheap, on-sale" deals.

Another memory from that era: one of my junior high teachers wrote some computer games. One of his games apparently has some historic interest. Although I don't really remember having much (if any) experience with his games.

First one I thought of too. I actually still have it and tried to learn to touch type but instead I got angry enough to strangle Mavis and that stupid chameleon too. I remember a rugrats game. I think I had some horrible science games I got out Rice Krispies boxes.

Every computer came with solitaire. I was so proud of myself the first time I actually finished a game. Now I have a Microsoft app with several card games and I can do an easy game of solitaire in two minutes. I was pretty sad when our newer computer didn’t have solitaire but it had mahjong. The newest laptop I bought is useless no games and doesn’t even play DVDs. I used it twice to write essays and the touchpad kept blowing things up and shrinking them it won’t email and it’s lucky I wasn’t willing to waste €700 by throwing it across the room.

I remember that game. My grade school computer teacher (who was a nun) had us use that game to learn typing. We never got the exciting screen like that, we always wound up with the boring, basic holographic hands typing at a computer. I had a strong dislike for that game, only because she made us keep our hands in the typing position (which I found actually made me type slower). Whenever she wasn't near my station, I just typed using like two or three fingers (which I found more comfortable), and would go back to proper position whenever she passed by.

I used to play on the computer a lot (still do now, but I play less games now). Let's see, I remember The Sims, of course (granted, I still play that series to this day, so that's not really "remembering"). Also when I was really little, I used to play some of those educational games like "Jump Start First Grade".

Others were some of the tycoon games, like School Tycoon, Mall Tycoon, and Zoo Tycoon. I also had a random one called "Mr. Potato Head Activity Pack" which was basically a game starring Mr. Potato head and you could dress him up, draw, make jigsaw puzzles, etc. Another was "Disney's Magic Artist Deluxe" which was just an art-centric game where it was mostly drawing/design based. For awhile I also had a few game-show ones like Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

And I also remember some of my sister's games I would play from time to time. They included Barbie games, Cinderella, and the Little Mermaid.

I can't exactly remember the name of it, but it was this math learning game. All I can remember is this cave level where you multiplied numbers to get through it and one where you're in a spaceship shooting trash by answering math questions.
