My life is so stressful ATM. I'm struggling with classwork because life is getting in the way. I need to withdraw from a class because I can no longer focus but might have missed the withdrawal deadline. I'm not sure yet I'll find out Monday. The semester started with my grandma having a stroke and suffering brain damage. Which was super upsetting and stressful. In the course of this semester I came out as gay, left my fiance, and massively fucked up in regards to a girl (the first girl) I've ever hooked up with. I'm waiting for my future roommate to hurry up and find a place so I can move out of my ex's. If she bails on me I'll have to find a motel till I can figure out what's next. I currently don't have many close friends because my friend circle was my ex's. ... My life is just confusing. I spent all of my teenage years hating myself and attempting to self destruct. I spent all of my adult years (age 18 to 22) living for my ex. I just don't know what's next.
Take a deep breath... In the heat of everything, it all seems bigger than reality. You can do this and get through it. Have you talked to the future roommate and asked if there is anything you can do to help with finding a place? If you are at a big campus there are probably some groups/activities you could join to meet new people that are not the ex's. Just deal with each situation as one incident and not look at the big picture for awhile.
Thanks. I've asked my roommate if she needs a hand searching. She says she has it under control. She sends me postings to the places she's applied to. Honestly I've been such a mess I'm kinda relieved she's not asking for more help. As for activities my life is a bit chaotic ATM. But maybe after I'm settled I'll try to find something.
You could always join new clubs or search online for fun stuff near you. and I hope everything with the roommate works out.
Still waiting to hear for apartments we've applied to. Haven't talked to roommate all week. Also can't drop class but if I can manage a C on the final I'll pass. Thank you for checking
oh my lanta. I need to drop my class no, but there is no way I can get a C. Yesterday I didn't even go to my classes. I showed up in front of my class and left.
Not so much any more. I dropped the class today. I was failing and no matter what I could have done it wouldn't have been enough to get a transferable grade.
Well 1st off in response to your prior message. Good on you for dropping the class and knowing your limits. Life for me right now is in a weird limbo phase. I get kicked out on the 20th but still haven't found a place to live. I have money in savings so if I need to I can get a motel room but this is never exactly a future I thought I'd have to plan for. My finals are next week and then the week after I have orientation at the college I'm transferring to and am being kicked out. So there's a lot up in the air and I'm just coasting at the moment.
I really hope things work out for you before you get kicked out. And if you do go the motel route look into motels that offer a weekly or even monthly rate. Some you can even get a little kitchen. Sometimes colleges offer things for students in difficult situations. Good luck with your finals. Any you are worried about? Better coasting through the air the plummeting through it.
Thank you so much for being really nice to me, I'm basically a stranger to you so that's really cool. I was worried about Spanish because that's the class I have a B in right now but I used one of those grade calculating websites and found I could literally fail the final and still pass the class. So that took the pressure off. I did see a motel with weekly rates near by so that's likely where I'll crash. I'm not sure if you're done with the semester or not. But if not good luck on your finals.

Hey, hope your classes went well. Just an update: found apartment can move in beginning of next month. It'll be expensive but I'm trying not to worry to much.
Not really I'll be working through the holidays and staying at an air-bnb till I can move in. On one hand I'll be happy to be out of my ex's place on the other hand I'll be in a stranger's house over xmas which is a bit weird and intimidating. What about for yourself?
I mean better an awkward situation than a bad one. And I am with my dad over this part of the holidays. Which had a bad start I missed one of my flights and got here 6 hours late.
