What are you thinking?

So I ordered a pride flag, right? I checked my e-mail about an hour ago and it told me it shipped.

But here's the catch: I didn't actually order it. It was on my wishlist, but I hadn't gotten around to ordering it. And I checked my bank account and there's no payment history for this thing. There's no indication of Amazon having, perhaps, automatically ordered it and just using the card linked to my account. I don't even know if they do that, but I've never heard of it happening.

I'm so confused.

On the plus side, I now have a pride flag.

 

Do you share your wishlist with anybody (i.e. a parent, sibling, lover, friend)? Because if you do, people can purchase items from that wishlist as gifts for you. Although when that happens, I have never known Amazon to send the shipping info to the recepient.

 

Nope. Only I can see it. That's why I find this so weird. And there's still no sign of me having inadvertently paid for it.

 

What's the point in dealing with christmas when they sell that stuff since october?
It really ruins the joy when that stuff is out in such a long period.

I bought my wife one so we can go out and do some trail running. I bought her a nicer one than I have, so I am kind of jealous lol

People are seriously getting butthurt because a radio station banned "Baby It's Cold Outside" for implications of date rape. Guys, it's a song from almost 100 years ago that ONE radio station banned. Who cares? Find something better to be angry about.

I would say the same about the people who got it banned in the first place. It was 100 years ago, people need better things to do in life than complain about decades old grievances.

 

Thing is that there are still stations that play it, even though it's clearly about date rape. The man in the song spiked her drink and then they had sex. That sounds pretty rape-y to me.

I forge ahead alone.

 

I saw my ex-boyfriend on my way to work this morning. He used to clean car washes for a living and I drive past one of the sites he used to clean on my way to work. I guess he still does because while I drove past this morning, he was there cleaning one of the bays.

I’m not going to lie, seeing my ex put me a little on edge. We remained friends after breaking up, but we had a falling out about 3 years ago. Although we patched things up a little bit at the end, the damage was done. I have done my best to move on and seeing him today was not something I expected, nor particularly wanted. Still, I guess I can take comfort in the fact that he doesn’t appear to have gone far in life since we last spoke.

 

Hey! Im starting to have romantic crushes again! AHHH! After that bad break up, I havent had a romantic crush on anyone... until now. Pretty sure he dont like me but Im just really happy that Im going back to normal.

 

Throwing shit out, cleaning, organizing and switching things up does wonders for my mood. #Ghey

 

Been thinking a lot about online spaces and the good that they can be. A recent thread made me think about the things that I have learned while on this website since I was 16 years old.

So many things to list, but one of the coolest things was this flyer who was made by a friend that I met through here. I decided to re-start the GSA of my college and I was fucking terrified. I came here for advice on how to get it all started and got some great ideas and support. A friend also decided to design a flyer for me to put around campus



This funny looking flyer has so much meaning.

Because of the GSA I made so many friends, got started as a campus leader and that is where I met my husband. And it all happened because EC gave me the tools to get out there and make shit happen. Would it be possible without this forum? No fucking clue, but I can tell you that I felt MUCH better knowing I had so much support.

So this is a reminder that you all have power to impact each other lives in some very real ways. Be the queer that you want to see in the world. Support each other, hold space for each other, and then go apply what you learn here to the outside world.
