I think it’s just a coincidence just like how middle children and 3rd children are more likely to be gay than first children. As a bi teenager my voice was slow to change and I’m actually learning that I’m more of a baritone than a tenor (for those choir kids)

It's not uncommon, and so it got to be a stereotype. On the other hand there are a hell of a lot of low-voiced gay and bisexual men.

    I have "gay voice" myself.

I don't think it's related. a lot of gay stereotypes have to do with acting stereo-typically female like wearing makeup or looking/dressing a certain way. because biological females generally have higher voices, thats probably why. but people come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and pitches, and we're all different. don't let it invalidate yourself

Growing up I knew this guy who's voice didn't break until he was about 17 and when it broke it really broke.

The only correlation I've heard of between men and having a high voice is having more testosterone. Which can be found in a man of any sexuality.

I don't recall much change in my voice and at 43 it ain't gonna change now. My voice isn't that deep and I sometimes have to speak louder....I would have liked a deeper voice but someone above gave me what I've got.....
Personally I like deep voices and find them sexy.....

Joe2001 & All.....Absolutely no connection. I am a musician with a voice major, and yes I'm gay. I'm also a double-bass, often called a "Russian" Bass with a range down to two and a half octaves below middle C. Some mornings I can go even lower than that. It's just another gay stereotype. If you want to hear some really great "Gay" voices, check out the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. They have some incredible albums out!
