If you’re thinking of studying abroad I recommend Germany! All education is free for students worldwide and there are a lot of amazing universities and exciting cities. Most colleges also are required to have classes in English so no matter what your degree, you should be able to find cool classes in your language. Germany also has amazing benefits such as a great (and not to mention cheap) public transportation system including busses and trains that can take you pretty much ANYWHERE you need to go. Flying anywhere in Europe from Germany is also very cheap so weekend trips to France or Italy are very possible. There are plenty of other very nice European countries that would also be great for studying abroad or just to live there for a short time. Europe is beautiful and even if you don’t want to live there I definitely recommend at least visiting!!

Honestly me too. I’ve been realizing lately just how much society is enveloped in technology and social media and how much we’ve strayed from actual human interaction and just living our lives for ourselves. I’d love to just go away to some abandoned island and be untouched by society and read books and drink tea all day

I often feel this way. I would probably join you. I've always said if the world ends or falls apart then I would gather a group of people and go make a nice homestead together to live out our days on.

Canada is really a nice place to live!! Ottawa is a gorgeous city, and it has so many events you can go to. The winterfest in february is amazing and has so much stuff. And if you're thinking more of Toronto or Halifax, both are super accepting towards lgbt+ people, so it's a win win either one

I agree with the poster who suggested Dublin.
Or the UK or the USA
Basically being in a rural/ isolated area has its difficulties and you may be happier in a more urban place with a good lgbt community

As others have suggested, you should probably try Dublin before trying to move to completely different country. It seems you're mostly looking for a bigger LGBT scene.

It's pretty hard to move to another country because you have to think of work (especially if they allow you to work there) and so many other things. Though, Ireland being a member of the European Union, you could technically move to any other member state if you wish. I kinda envy your situation for that, haha.

I am going to try to be as un-biased as i can with this, but i think if you are looking for more of a lgbt presence Canada would be a good place to go, especially the provinces with bigger cities (like Ontario or Quebec for example). even though i live in a not-so-big province, there are still lgbt programs and events going on quite regularly, and just lgbt people in general. even if that is not exactly what you are looking for, its nice to see.

Even cities in smaller provinces, like for example Halifax in N.S, has a good track record with LGBT things and people. I would know, i see things going on quite regularly even if i dont go to them. And as much as i dont like the stereotype, i find Canadians are a bit nicer so im sure you could find some great and accepting people here in Canada. I do not think you have to go to a whole new country though, maybe look for better places to live near you. but if you can handle the cold and snow, Canada might be a good pick. but make sure to put in a lot of thought and planning if you really want to change countries.
