Looking for recommendations for lesbian themed shows or movies. I have watched a handful that are streaming on Amazon and Netflix. This is what I have already watched: Carol, Kiss me, Blue is the warmest color, Below her mouth , and The L word. Any other ones out there you would recommend?
You watched some great ones! I love Blue is the Warmest Color and Below her Mouth! (I am obsessed with Erika Linder!) I watched Princess Cyd recently. It was pretty good. I have heard that a lot of lesbians like Imagine Me and You, (though I haven't seen it), and But I'm A Cheerleader.
Imagine Me and You is a good movie and really sweet. I Can't Think Straight is also a good movie and was a book first. I read the book but the movie is better. I hated Blue is the warmest color, I only watched it because it was a lesbian movie but I really didn't like any of it.
I've heard a lot of lesbians don't like Blue. I didn't like the sex scene very much, (far too long!) but I loved the actresses and the film a lot.
There is a new film that came out recently called "Disobedience", about a Jewish woman who is forced into the closet because of her community's conservative beliefs until she meets a woman from her past.
girls blood!! its a Japanese lesbian movie (which you can watch on youtube, it has eng subs). its not so lovey-dovey honestly its more angst (if u couldn't tell from the title lol) its about an underground fighting group, focusing on select characters. the plot is really amazing in my opinion.
i have watched almost anything lesbian - related but nothing beats the l word now i want to watch Lizzie it's a new movie with kristen stewart and chloe sevigny (i like them both)
I enjoyed The L word as well and a little bummed when I finished all the seasons. It was simple but I really liked Kiss me. I’ll have to look for Lizzie thanks!
Lol. I saw part of the first season of The L Word. I stopped though because some of the story lines were too much. I mostly watched what I did for Shane lol.
I love all of these suggestions! Ya'll have great taste in movies. I just wanted to add D.E.Bs which I know is a cheesy one, but I really liked it. But I'm a Cheerleader, and First Girl I ever loved, are also good too.
I can't stop talking about Anne+! It's a Dutch (web)series about a lesbian student in Amsterdam who looks back on her relationships since she broke up with her first girlfriend. Episodes can be found on YouTube and the official Anne+ website and should have English subtitles, I think.. The episodes are really short (about 10 minutes) and they update every wednesday
