Wow that is so brave to tell your class like that! I really admire that. I would love to be as bold as that. I came out to my mom and sister. Both were confused at first, because they only knew me as straight but are supportive. So I had a good experience.

Being brave is to be afraid to do something and to do it anyway.

I think that each one of us is brave in his/her own way. Just coming out requires a good amount of courage, specially the first time you do it.
    It crushes your world sometimes.

Hi, I'm 19, and that's pretty much the only thing I know about myself...
Why don't you say something about yourself... like, are you out to someone and how was your experience, don't know

Well okay. I'm bi and I'm casually out to a few of my friends. My parents have probably guessed that I'm not completely straight. I would never tell my grandparents/aunt/uncle/cousins because they'll "be cool with it", but shit on me behind my back and be low key mad like that time when I wore a tie to Thanksgiving... anyway that's my little gay story.

I wouldn't tell my grandparents/aunt/uncle/cousins either, too scared of being judged, and not being fully accepted, my grandparents especially are old school. Gays and trash are basically the same thing for my grandpa, still love him, but he will never be okay with it. Sometimes they come up with stuff like "those gays are doing so much noise, likely we don't have that kind of person in our family". My biggest achievement was not to wear dresses on special occasion, last time I'd to it was 2011, and it was a nightmare.

My dad's cousin is a lesbian and just by hearing how they talk about her (which they rarely do), you can notice the subtle homophobia.

That's just horrible. Why people feel the urge to comment everything, can't they just let everyone live their own life... I feel like everybody is losing the point, being alive to simply ruin someone else's life it's not worth it...
I don't mean to offend your family, it's just would be better if we loved each other instead of being angry one another constantly

I love them, but my family deserves to be offended quite honestly. I'm just glad my parents are free thinkers and open minded.

Wow, that's ridiculous they had such a problem with you wearing a tie. I love ties! I wore one to school once and got nothing but compliments. I felt great wearing it. I bet you looked super cute in it.

Yeah, my relatives aren't big on breaking gender norms. Ties can be so cool, but mine were pretty ugly. I've kind of moved away from them now becuase I've been embracing my more feminine side as well.
