A female family member (who has no clue that I'm bi) shared to me that my distant guy cousin came out as gay in social media and that his sister has been known as lesbian for so long so no wonder. And then she said maybe it's in their genes...! I got mad lol (then I thought, maybe I have that specific DNA afterall lol)

My mom while watching modern family, “ so who is the wife in this relationship?”
    Me: they are both husbands.
My mom: ......... But who is the THE WIFE ?
Me: Oh ( internal monologue: is she really asking who bottoms ? ). I think they switch roles when they get bored.
    My mom: ok.

After hearing the news about a women's rights protest, this one guy at school said "That's so lesbian."
When he was rejected by a girl, "Why does she hate me? She hates all guys. She must be a lesbian."

Wow. That guy might want to take a good look in the mirror and maybe then he'll see why he got dumped.

"Bisexuals are never happy. They date a girl and want a guy. They date a guy and want a girl. They're just confused people. They end up as sluts bcuz they want everybody."

Mom to me in mall pointing at random people:
"Oh my God, he's wearing makeup. Like he is so gay.
He's wearing skinny jeans. Like so gay.
He walks like a guy who has sex with guys. Gaaayyyy."

I literally told a guy gay this and he was like. Uh..like no.

“i like queer film but i’m definitely hetero!”
said by a classmate in a conversation he wasn’t a part of, which was not about queer film at all, and where it absolutely wasn’t relevant that he liked queer film OR was straight...

"You're only gay when you want to be" (I'm questioning)
"What you need is a boyfriend, we need to straighten you out."
Both said by my dad, he said he was joking and seemed accepting in the past, I don't know what's gotten into him.

So on one beautiful day I went to bank. Dressed like a guy as usual. Although I have to add that I dress like, well I consider it elegant and hot but people seems to take it as a gay style of clothing. Also I haven't start hormones yet. So I was taking my money when I heard two guys talking from distance. One looked at me and said to the other. "Wanna know a fun fact? That person over there, it's actually a guy"!

I felt weird, flattered and amused at the same time. Oh well I suppose that's one way to find out you pass (at least a little)

“So when did you choose to be gay? Or is it a choice?”

Not every person is like this but some are confused about the subject and believe what they are told.

“I support you”*2 mins later*” congrats i still support you”

I hate when people get annoyingly supportive of you to make sure they arent offending you, atleast they are supportive but I dont need to know every 3 minutes

“Whos the man and whos the woman in the relationship”

Not all non lgb people ask this but i only hate it cause when its asked it usually means who is the top and bottom, atleast in my case, and sex is definitly a private thing for me and my partner, not you!

    “Are you sure”

    :expressionless:

*points to every single man around* “do you think he is hot?” “Do you think im hot?”

Just cause im gay doesn’t mean I want to stare at every guy in the entire area. And im not a expert on telling you if your hot to others and im dont want to be.

    “So you weren’t joking?”

    :expressionless:

I can empathize with that. I'm black, female, bisexual, present masculine mostly but sometimes feminine, somewhere on the ace spectrum, and somewhere on the polyamorous spectrum. I'm also pretty leftist and 21, so it makes what I think matter less "as a millennial." I enjoy it because I'm a part of a lot of different communities, but often times I feel like I'm an honorary member of every community and that what I say doesn't really count, or how I feel can't be fully expressed. I've never heard anyone feeling anything remotely like that, so seeing your comment was great.

"Wait, you're really bi? I thought you only said that because you wanted attention?" - My best friend after being out for over 5 years.

This is a comment my parents made over breakfast in a diner.- The LGBT community is creating all these sexualities and genders. Soon furries will be a part of the LGBT community.

i came out to friend while trying to explain that I didn't want to come out until college because I don't feel comfortable living in the same house with parents (who are religious) while they know my sexuality. She interrupted me mid sentence and said "oh so you just want to experiment in college" like really hon did you just.....ok

You don't do that. That is crap. Be with someone who makes you happy and who will stick with you through anything like when you come out or when they come out. you will have someone you trust and someone who you care about. That's how it works.
