Hiiiii, so who adores the mood changing settings thingy on our profiles? How often do you change it? Are you a mood obsessed, or just tech feauture lover of a person? Say what you think! I think it's adorable as odd as that sounds and kinda cool also useful in some instances. Like when your super happy and just wanna say hello to people they can just tell by the chatty emoji!!
Yeah, I like that there is a mood option. Especially since it lets people know how I'm feeling, which helps them to decide how to best approach a conversation with me. I wish more forums had a mood selector. People here have offered support and asked what's wrong when I've chosen a negative emotion on the mood selector before, so I appreciate that. The only weird thing is when you stumble upon some of your old posts that you wrote when you were in a very different mood to how you are currently feeling, and it says "Feeling happy" or something similar next to it when the post in question is actually quite dark and pessimistic for example. I find it quite odd when I read some of my old posts, sometimes there's this disconnect when I read them and I think "Damn, can't believe I actually went there and wrote about this". Seeing how my mental state has changed over the years can be quite jarring. *Inhales* As someone that has studied web design, I do love to admire additional design features such as this. Usually I have it set to "Thinking" but I do like to change it quite a bit. The only slight complaint that I have with this site is that the favicon doesn't display properly, but that's only a minor thing and completely understandable. Anyone else get that? It displays on the introduction page, but then when you go onto forums the logo in the favicon disappears. The introduction page is still http. rather than https. which leads me to believe that the forum is on a slightly different server than the introduction page (understandable considering that the forum was updated to a new system), which may explain the favicon fault. Perhaps the original EC thumbnail file was lost or otherwise couldn't be transferred into the new forums. This forum is certainly one of the most up to date, technology wise. I've seen ones that apparently haven't changed much since 2005. Excellent screen fluidity and it displays well on different devices, so I'd hazard a guess that it was created by setting percentages (and "automatically fit to screen size" or something similar was chosen rather than pixels when setting the resolution). Some website builders only allow you to build it to fit a particular certain sized screen, and you can't set it to automatically adjust (expecting you to manually create lots of different versions instead of just offering one version for mobile/tablet, and another for desktop, unlike websites such as WordPress and Wix which give you those options). *Exhales* OK, I'm done geeking out now.
I always loved this feature! 5 years ago it was very different. This is a brand new account and I am still getting used to how much this site has changed but man that has always been one of my favorite features XD
I had never changed mine much before, but I do like the "aggressive" one because it looks a lot like my Scott Pilgrim avatar
I don't change it thatttttt often, but I do like the feature. It'd be nice if it was customizable- I can understand why they don't do it that way though. At least add anxious, c'om aha
I think it's a really cool feature. I personally don't change mine too often, but I like having the option to.
I rarely change it. It's been on "pensive" for the better part of three years. I think the last time I changed it was mid-2017.
