I'm working with flat/material design and made this illustration. Does anybody have any critique? Do you guys just like it in general?
Hi Nate.....Even though I have pretty much lived my life in the "Arts", I can only appreciate art, not actually make art. Music makes sense to me but past that I am only an observer. Even if I draw stick figures they need to have a label for other people to know what they are! What you did looks great to me...but I am not the best critic!! How is your Summer going? How is it with your parents...are they getting any better with acceptance? Talk to you again later! .....David
Thank you so much David!!! My Summer is going very well. I've spent a lot of time with friends and I've done a lot of bonding with my family. They are getting far more accepting, and my mom is even sticking up for me!
Hi! I like the composition of this one. My comment though is that if you would go with the flat art style, i suggest removing the drop shadows (like on the bubble and fish. And I get the blurring of the purple coral but I suggest keeping it rendered like the others. If you want to make an illusion of far then use darker shades of color. Also, adding more corals would look good Also, what program did you use to make this?
