Gay but curious about women?

I think sexuality is more fluid than people tend to give it credit for, and while I personally haven't experienced this I know of people who have. I think it's totally possible and if you want to try it, I would say go for it, especially since it seems like your partner wouldn't have a problem with it.

 

I’d say try it. Why not. As a bi man I would a threesome with a guy and a girl, but I think my threesome years are behind me now. I had one with two women once years ago, and that was fun

I had always been into guys since puberty. It was intense. It was fireworks. But since around 20, I started having these attractions towards females. Sometimes it seemed like curiosity, other timed like it's because women's bodies have a sexual connotation. Nevertheless, it did attract me to them, fantasise about them, masturbate to them. Since then, even my gay attractions have died down. It's as if my mind is adopting the straight mindset. The attractions aren't as euphoric as the gay attractions that I had though. I think it will only be a while before I will get bored of women and go back to men.

Have you had the same experience ? Has your attraction to men declined with this interest in men ?

 

So I'm 46 and came out as gay at 18 and I have a husband and we've been together 20 years. I've always considered myself gay and whilst I have had many female friends I have never once thought about them sexually. A few years ago a best male friend of mine who is bisexual sort of challenged me to try sex with a woman. We've watched bi porn together over the years but I was always focused on the men.

However I thought that I love and enjoy sex and thought well maybe under the right circumstances (i.e. in a threesum with another guy and a girl) maybe. So to cut a long story short I succeeded about 10 months ago in getting together with a female friend (who loves sex) and another guy. I was worried I wouldn't be able to go through with it, or wouldn't get hard. or that it might change the friendship with my friend. But we did it. I really enjoyed it, and would do it again (although haven't yet). And we're still good friends.

So I'd reiterate others comments to go for it. You wont know until you try.

Has it made me question myself? Well yes definitely. I still consider myself gay. I don't consider myself bisexual. I've told a few close gay friends, although not my husband (we do have an open relationship) as this definitely comes under the "it's complicated" conversation. That said I don't think he'd be particularly worried.

It has made me think back on whether this was always something that i might have been able to do or i had to wait until my age and experience to try it. I honestly don't know. But I do now enjoy bi and straight porn, although I am still most interested in the men.

Is it like a reverse coming out? No not at all. But it might become a new coming out, to one of coming out as bisexual if I continue doing more. At the moment it has become a sexual experimentation anecdote that i tell a few select friends (so far only gay men). And for me, another measure is whether I feel I could have one-on-one sex with a woman. At the moment I definitely prefer the idea of an MMF threesum.
