I'm a pre-everything trans guy and I was wondering which type of underwear would be better: boxers or briefs?

    I don't plan on packing.

I prefer boxers just cause in my head, they were the more stereotypically male option. Plus as a cashier i see people buying mostly boxers. So, i bought and wear boxers. And because i still live at home and can't be out here, packing isn't an option so that wasn't a factor in my decision at all.

I wear boxer briefs. Best of both worlds and more comfortable

Okay after some perusing, cause i didn't realize the term boxer briefs existed...i have come to the conclusion that the two packs that i picked up hurriedly, without looking at anything more than the size for fear of being spotted...were boxer briefs.

It depends on what you find comfortable. Boxers tend to be much looser than briefs/boxer briefs, so it may be harder to stuff boxers into your trousers than briefs. I prefer boxers for sleeping and when I wear looser trousers, and boxer briefs for tighter trousers, like skinny jeans. Usually I stay away from briefs because they remind me of women's underwear and show too much of my thigh.

As a pre everything trans woman I don't know how relevant my ideas are but if it helps and this includes 'en male' I have always wanted to own some silk boxers. But never have boo hoo! I had a university friend who set up a business importing silk boxers and other underwear and clothing from China. It always seemed to me like an impossibly glamorous occupation to be doing while he was meant to be studying for his finals. As was I but it didn't stop us both travelling to China together.

Boxers annoy me because they tend to bunch up under trousers/jeans and ride up your thighs. Even boxers with lycra/spandex mix don't work for me. I'd go with briefs every time, but it really comes down to personal preference.

Same. I find boxer briefs really comfortable and I like the look of them. The issue I've had with boxers is that they tend to bunch up under your pants. Overall a personal preference though - maybe try buying a pair or two of each (boxers, boxer briefs, and briefs) to see which ones you like best.

Another one for boxer briefs here. I think ‘trunks’ are much the same but the lengths of the legs are different.

I tend to wear quite narrow legged trousers so piles of loose fabric like true boxers have just wouldn’t be very comfortable so maybe think about what you want to wear them under too.
