This has been mentioned here a lot, if liking cats is a lesbian stereotype, is disliking cats and being a dog person a gay stereotype then? If not can we make it one? Because that would be one I’d actually match then x’D I don’t like cats and think dogs rule

This is why I haven't given my answer to this thread. I think some stereotypes are very clear gay/les stereotypes and others are not, and pretty much all of the ones I can think of that apply to me are more about "gaydar" than "oh, everyone thinks this about lesbians." (In other words, I require people to really think.)

I don't particularly think most lesbians like cats, or most gays like dogs...but I do often wonder if it would nowadays be impossible to find a girlfriend who doesn't "love" some type of animal (because I don't--yeah, yeah, I know you all are appalled, lol).

I honestly have never heard either one of them. But I guess I'm the odd one out. I actually like cats. I don't mind small breeds of dogs though

I know, but other people are not joking--they seem to think it's a widespread stereotype, lol.

Exactly. I have seen on other lesbian forums entire threads about "Are you a dog or cat person?" And the answers definitely varied.

So are bi folks both cat people and dog people? Because I honestly have no problems with either.

Probably my makeup collection, feminine voice, collection of flower crowns, love of musicals, and lack of male friends

I'm cool with animals in general, but recently been a big cat person. Guess that makes me a lezzer...

That would be the logical consequence if one were to follow that train of thought I suppose x’D

I guess that's kinda true lol. I am not the biggest dog fan, but I like some and I really like cats. But I don't think that has any bearing on my sexuality.
