:grin:So obviously there are many stereotypes in the world, and plenty that people apply to LGB people. And, obviously, not all of these stereotypes are appreciated or even nice. But for some lighthearted fun I though it would funny if we all shared some stereotypes about us that ARE true, and that we don't mind and are maybe even a little funny. Maybe have a little laugh at ourselves while we're at it.
So, what do you do that makes you read as stereotypically queer? Own it and have fun!

I love shopping. I think I just have a thing about spending money. It doesn't matter where we are - it could be Walmart and it might as well be Disneyland.

I have a thing for fashion. Or an eye for it, rather. I like going up to a girl and complimenting her shoes or her shirt. I'll even be like, "Gurrlll, those shoes!" xDD

    That's about it, though.

Lol. That's great! I love shopping too. And I wish I had a better sense of style. I feel like so many gay guys dress way better than me!

I like listening to One Direction, Madonna, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Cyndi Lauper, and I like the one-hit wonder "Barbie Girl" by Aqua, and I like some chick flicks like Legally Blonde and Mean Girls.

I love menswear. I have wanted to wear "boys" clothes since I was thirteen. Sadly, I'm not out and don't yet. :frowning2: I was always attracted to feminine men when I thought I was straight. I also identify as being a 21st century hippy. I believe in free love, peace, all that good stuff. I dabble in nature based religions. I like cats a lot and want to own one one day. I also have dreamed of moving to California.

Haha! I actually haven't met a lot of gay guys that are good with style, strange enough. But they definitely do exist.

I've got short nails, but it's kind of a requirement more than it's a stereotype. I wish I fit into other stereotypes! I think people would notice me more easily. People just think I'm straight.

I'm a tomboy, own flannel shirts, though I haven't worn any in ages, but they're there. I have short hair (no. 4 at the back and sides, longer on top), my nails are kept short and tidy, I don't wear nail polish or makeup and I love my converse and jeans. I'm not that into sports, but I do watch rugby from time to time. I think I'm an undercover lesbian! Lol

There are no gay stereotypes that would apply to me, not that I know of at least, what appears to be the reason why people perceive me as straight without question though I am definitely damn gay.
I am pretty much your stereotypical masculine man though so I do fit some stereotypes, just not gay stereotypes

I forgot to mention, I also like musicals. My favorite musical is The Book Of Mormon, but I also saw Sister Act: The Musical at my high school this year and it was pretty good, and my brother was in the Legally Blonde musical about 4 years ago and I went to see that and I thought that was pretty good too.

I like going to the opera--I guess that's a stereotype for a gay man of a certain age...

Same girl. Ironically I have had short unpainted nails my whole life. I never liked long nails or nail polish.

People don't perceive me as a lesbian and I unfortunately don't seem to set off any gaydars but there are definitely some steoretypes that fit me

    - I looove cats
    - I've kept my nails short since before I knew I was gay
    - I almost never wear dresses, heels, lots of make up. Although there are some exeptional occasions
    - I love Hayley Kiyoko, Tegan and Sara, the L word, orange is the new black and about every other kind of lesbian related tv show/movie/music
    - I like to wear the occasional flannel
    - I'm a pretty vocal feminist
    - I like beer
    -...

I like soccer (the Belgian Red Devils  )
I like beer (but I also like wine)
I have short fingernails, I rarely wear nailpolish
I like dark clothes, no pastel colours for me, thank you
I have the lesbian walk when I am in a good mood
I love the L word and the 100 and probably other series I haven't discovered or seen yet
I like music with LGBT subjects and music made by strong women (which is more stereotypical for gay men I suppose?)
Thinking about it I also like movies with strong women (like Wonder Woman for example)
I have big dogs (not sure this is a stereotype but it's probably not very feminine)
