It depends. Sometimes I just let it freely go and listen to anything I have on my phone, another day I might bet obsessed with few songs so I play them repeatedly. But most of the time I just make a playlist of a couple of songs and then let it play.
Usually I’ll pick an artist and let it play, sometimes go for a specific song. I find something I like and then listen to it until I can’t stand it anymore.
I usually put it on shuffle and skip songs I don't want to listen too. Oddly I think some songs are better when they are a surprise.
I organize all my popular music into playlists according to the time when I discovered the song. I usually just flip around between these playlists.
I create playlists that have a life span of a few days. I create a playlsit with the songs I really like at the moment (about 10). Then in a few days or weeks I delete the playlist and create a new one. Everybody else probably uses their phone or Spotify, but I still use my iPod, which has a default "Recently added" playlist which I often listen to too
I use Spotify and organize all my music into different playlists based on their genre, I then organize the playlist alphabetically. I can't stand when they're not alphabetical
I don't use a phone, MP3 player, or any sort of music playing software. Most of my music library is on records. So...it's either play the whole recording, or select individual tracks if I don't want to hear the whole album. I also have some CDs, and CD players often have ability to program a play list of sorts. I think some CD players even had an ability to remember programming for a certain number of CDs. But apart from playing with programming a few times, I've mostly used the same approach of playing the whole CD, or else selecting individual tracks. I'm not sure I'd be interested in using playlists, even if they were more viable. I like being able to jump around to different things as the mood hits. I may want to hear "B" after "A" this week...but when hearing "A" next week, I might want to follow with "C."
I typically either choose specific songs or albums. Though I have playlists for certain moods or occasions.
Sometimes I create a playlist and put it on shuffle, or sometimes I pick one song and put it on repeat.
I do that too! If there's a song I really like, I listen to it over and over on repeat. Otherwise, I'll put on a playlist and skip around until I find a good song.
The only one I didn't vote for was: "I created a playlist of my most-listened-to songs" because, depending on my mood and how busy I am, I'll do any of the other 4.
Usually play entire albums or pick specific songs Sometimes create playlists such as "workout music" (high energy music) or "cheese on top of cheese" (cheesy Power Metal)
