My girlfriend and I usually do. Either that or she'll have her arm around my waist. We've only encountered one person who was hostile and I'm always a little anxious about running into professors from my department when we're around my university.

 

Haters have definitely been empowered and feel that they can do what they want now. Trans women of color beign killed has increased, hate crimes have increased, and there is just a feeling of fear in certain areas that I go now.

Last week, a gay couple was attacked right after Miami pride. That's some next level shit when it comes to cities like Miami where we have gay city officials, laws protecting LGBT people and a strong lgbt community. Luckily the community responded and with the pressure the people turned themselves in, but it has left people nervous. If it can happen in Miami, it can happen anywhere.

Y'know, I really expected to be a lot shyer about gay PDA when it was just an idea, but once I got to the situations with I guy I really liked, it wasn't nearly as big a deal as I thought it would be.

 

No but that's mostly because I don't have anyone to hold hands with.

 

My bf isn't super comfortable with it, and I don't blame him. I'm not either, but if he was super comfortable with it then I'd fake being comfortable it until I was. I don't fear for my safety, we just don't want comments or looks I guess. Even though it is very unpropable, I guess a little part of me does fear for my safety

Kinda this. Having a bf has helped me become more unapologetically gay lol

 

Not in a relationship, but if I was I would definitely do it. I live in a homophobic area but unless I felt really endangered I would do it anyway. I don't mind being rebellious though.
