Her debut album comes out on March. 30th and I’m so excited! For those who aren’t familiar with her music...
I watch some of her videos on you tube and like her music but not enough to actually freak about a new song or pay for her music.
I got so excited when her album came out yesterday!!!! My favourite new songs on it are What I Need and Wanna Be Missed. I'm loving 20gayteen <3
Mine are Feelings, Sleepover, Curious, and He’ll Never Love You. The Expectations overture is mesmerizing too. What is 20gayteen?
Oh, Sleepover is definitely my favourite on the album but that was already one of my favourite Hayley Kiyoko songs! 20gayteen is kind of like this joke started by the queer community about how the gays will save 2018- and Hayley Kiyoko has hashtagged basically all of her instagram posts related to her album this year with #20GAYTEEN so that's where it comes from.
That’s really cool and clever. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to the album. It makes me so happy that there’s finally a pop star who sings about girls loving girls!
I'm a massive Hayley Kiyoko fan. I feel like I discovered her waaaay too late in the day - so I'm still not bored of any of her tracks. The album is being played constantly. When I first watched the video to Feelings... I got the feels haha She's amazing. I wish I could go see her perform but living in the UK doesn't bode very well for popping along to a performance. One day...
I discovered her when I saw the video for Girls Like Girls but I didn’t keep track of her. It wasn’t until I saw the video for Curious a few months ago that I took notice. Watched her other videos, listened to the EP’s, and began counting down to Expectations. Like you, I’m hoping she’ll eventually tour beyond North America someday.
My favorites are, "What I need" and "Wanna Be Missed". I'm going to see her at one of concerts next month! To say I'm excited would be a major understatement. I knew of her once she released "Rich Youth" and "This Side of Paradise", I was crushing on her then and each video just made it even better.
