Hi, all friends. I have been a member of this forum couple days ago. I like the environment here comparing to other social apps. People here seem to be really serious and giving constructive advice through their own experience. Let me introduce myself first. I am a 24 man who just made sure of who I am a few months ago. As I live in Asia. The social environment does not accept gay as the western world. I have been making my self believed that I am not gay for many years. But something happened when I traveling to the foreign countries alone. Then I am sure I am gay. Considering the culture here, I am not going to come out for my whole life. But I still want to meet someone that I wish to spend my life with and living together. Therefore, I have been login to few dating website and apps. Nothing found except those who want to hookup. But I still hold the hope to find someone. Because we are the only 2% of the world population. It is really difficult for me to find friends who are gay as well in my country. We don't have the LGBT community in high school and university. It is even more difficult to find someone who matches with same living conception. Anyway, I am glad to be here.
Hello! Welcome to EmptyClosets We dont actually know for sure how many gay men there are in the population but I believe that the limited research conducted indicates that 10% of all men are not heterosexual. Your English is excellent, by the way. May I ask which countries you have visited outside of China? I have never been outside of Europe.
Thank you! I have visited Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and the USA. I went to these countries alone as a backpacker. Because I want to know more about different cultures and see how the people living there using my own eyes.
Yes. I learned a lot. There are too much to say. But the main point is that I learned to respect all ways of living and don't judge.
I like that! Simple yet profound. Do you intend to continue discovering foreign lands? This is a most admirable feat, something which I could never accomplish. I'm the type who finds comfort in living in a well and looking at the world from the bottom of it.
Yes, I like traveling. Well, each type of living is good. Each type of living has the pros and cons. It is you, the way you are living. Evening you don't find the answer, it is fine. Nice to meet you XD
Thank you! I am jealous that you live in an LGBT friendly society. HAHA. I am okay to live alone or only make online friends who know I am gay. Wish you a good day!
