So my family, mostly my sister nowdays, has forgotten my birthday she normally calls me as we live a few hours apart.. but today she didnt.. only my cousin facebooked me ... I hate birthdays, always have always will. do you hate birthdays too??
Happy birthday! Or belated!!! I dont hate birthdays. It's the spending that I hate lol Kidding aside, lately I dont enjoy my actual birthday as much as before. It must be because of subconscious anticipation that it is my special day but then if I dont feel special on that day, it just makes me sad. Maybe it will help if I have a special someone to spend it with. I have my family to celebrate it on weekend but not on actual day if it falls on a working day. And I usually request myself off from work on my birthday. I am very greatful though everytime that day of the year comes as I still am alive. I have a lot to thank for.
My birthday falls three days after Christmas, so it's everything all at once. I hate it in that regard, because I have nothing to look forward to the rest of the year (except maybe Easter and Thanksgiving). Most people remember my birthday though, so at least I don't hate it because people forget.
My family never celebrated birthday when I was a kid. I don’t have much feelings about birthday, and I don’t care about that. When I still used Facebook, people would text me a birthday message. After I left Facebook, I got nothing. Haha. People remember my birthday just because the notifications in Facebook. The whole thing just make me ignore birthday.
I don't hate birthdays, I just think they're overrated. I don't really like having all of the attention on me.
I actually like birthdays - they're so much better than other holidays because they are about people celebrating one individual person they love instead of just an event from hundreds or thousands of years ago that barely anyone knows anything about like most holidays. Its a good thing I like them too - with a 9 person family we pretty much have to celebrate someone's birthday every few weeks for the whole year.
My birthday is on the seventh of January. I hate the date, whenever I see family it's always a joint present. When I was younger it was always the day you go back to school after Christmas. I have nothing to look forward to for the rest of the year.
I have a family that celebrates birthdays and like to make a big deal about them, but I would rather do something low key. I Like cake and going out to eat, but I don’t like to be the focus of a party. Guess I like to celebrate other people’s birthdays, just not my own.
