Has anyone else here ever been asked "Are you gay?" or "Do you like guys?"

    Someone once asked me if I liked guys, I just said no. Another time someone tried to start a rumor that I was gay even though I'm still mostly closeted and have given no evidence.

    The person tried to start that rumor before I even realized I was bisexual, so of course I didn't tell anyone yet. So I don't understand why someone could start a rumor about something that I didn't even share with anyone yet.

    That's irrelevant. I haven't come out yet to most people, so what's your point? Has anyone ever asked you if you were gay or if you liked guys?

    Yes I get asked if I am gay or if I like guys almost always even before I came out. I do not know what to tell you about the rumors.
    I'm guessing you in school still in my experience it's just part of being in school kids start rumors to be assholes

    I've definitely been asked if I am gay (quite a few times), but I don't think I've ever been asked if I "like guys". People are clearly brazen enough to get straight to the point with me.

    Once. I said something pro-gay. This person was not pro-gay. He basically asked me if I was a homo. It was very awkward. I never really answered him and just stopped talking to him, I was too insecure with my sexual orientation at the time plus I'm not even sure what my sexual orientation is.

    I think I havent been asked straightforwardly if I was gay but a couple of my friends before have asked me if I like a certain girl that we know.. And also some would start a conversation out of nowhere about a lesbian celebrity. I think they were trying to fish information but I didnt put too much attention to it.

    Yeah, few times. But it was mostly just out of fun, not a serious question. I usually brushed them off. Except for two cases, when I wanted to tell the truth.

    but then, it's always a matter of time. I look androgynous and I can't stop myself from saying it loud if I find a guy pretty attractive. I just neither confirm nor deny it.

    Not really, even LGBT people assume I'm straight most of the time. I don't know what it is about me that makes them think I'm straight but it really is a curse when trying to pick up girls!

    No, but sometimes people asked me indirectly, the way wikihow tells you "How to discreetly find out if someone you know is gay" lol.
    There was more than one girl trying to get a date with me in my teenage years and twenties too so I probably have some 'bi' vibe around me. But most of the time straight people think I'm straight.
