letter to and from mom

Dear limfjord, I don't know if you're still around (kinda doubt it), but your letter impressed me, and your mom's response was exactly what so many others described it as — awesome, i.e., it filled me with awe. I wish there was somewhere on EC that postings such as this could be permanently bookmarked, because they deserve to be read over and over again, especially by new members. I happened upon it by chance, and am responding here in hopes that it may inspire others who might not see it otherwise.
