I'm in two minds about what kind of date to take my boyfriend on for our one year anniversary so thought I'd ask here. Would you guys prefer a pottery workshop where you make two pieces of pottery for a couple of hours or a chocolate workshop where you learn about the origins and history of chocolate, chocolate tasting, truffle making and making your own box of chocolates?

I really like both ideas but I'm not loaded in the slightest so I'm limiting myself to one. I like the chocolate idea but the pottery will last and it can be something that reminds us of the day.

I did have ago at pottery as a teenager at school and it was a bit of a disaster so I would go for the chocolate option. You can always take photos of each other stuffing your faces to remind you of the day...

I think the chocolate idea could be fun. It's unique. I've heard of pottery dates, and although they seem fun, how often do you get to make your own chocolate?

I’d say pottery! I’ve done it before and it’s tricky but think having the momento of the pot would be really nice, you could make one for each other. You could always get some chocolate afterwards

Most likely chocolate. Only pottery if he doesn't like chocolate or is really artsy.

Pottery lasts longer and will be a memory of a great date. Then again to each their own. I went to a chocolate factory and heard all that stuff and got to decorate a chocolate bear but I wasn't wild about it because I'm not wild about chocolate. I'd prefer pottery because I tried it once and it's a great excuse to get messy with a sense of achievement when you've made something recognisable with your bare hands.
