I guess everyone has a song holding a special meaning for them..

    For me, it's this one..

I just heard this song after a long time.. The music video is kinda weird, but for me this song has a special meaning as it reminds me of someone from my family who passed away..
She sings about 'voda živá', which means 'living water', and represents blood. She indirectly sings about 'living water' of her mom, who committed suicide, remaining in her forever as a memory.
And by the way the singer is a lesbian.

What about your songs, and what kind of special meaning do they have for you?

I tell my heart to just butt out, keep its opinion to itself
I should just listen to my head cause it's the one who knows what's best
It tells me not to love you, but my heart says just forgive you
Oh but it’s not thinking clearly, I wish that I could leave my heart out of this...

That song was beautiful, thank you for introducing us to that.
Thursdays child by David Bowie is a really personal song for me.

How to Make Love Stay by empire! empire! (i was a lonely estate)…I play it always when I travel, especially when homesick. I have no idea why but it's always my go-to song. I listened to it a lot when I was in New Zealand and Melbourne, just last year.

There's no official music video but this was the first that came up when I typed the name of the song into YouTube:

I guess it's pretty personal, but I used to relate Incubus' Dig to a close friend of mine who died when we were teenagers.

This song from the Hedwig and the Angry Inch cast album is one of my favorite songs of all time. Lena Hall's recent recording of it is phenomenal!

Actually the entire album this song comes from, nearly wore the CD out on the last epic road trip my dad and I went on. Sadly there will be no more epic road trips with him.

Two songs, hurt by Johnny cash and sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny are very special to me.
The original version of hurt was a a favourite song of a friend before he committed suicide, and sleepwalk because I was recording a cover of it for him, but never got to show him because I was about a day to late to have show him.

Mine is Drive by Incubus. They're a great band. I hadn't listened to them in like a year, then a few days ago I bawled my eyes out to and from school while listening to Drive.

The large majority of the songs I listen to have a special meaning for me, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Believer by Imagine Dragons. I can relate to it with certain situations I've been in and some of the things I'm going through right now. It also kind of serves as a reminder that someday I'll be in more control than I currently am and things will (hopefully) be better. (I could go on about each verse, but that might be a bit too long and a bit too personal.)

There's a song from the Broadway show Side Show called "I Will Never Leave You." There's a line "evermore and always we'll be one though we're two." Based on that song my wedding ring has "evermore" engraved on the inside, my husband's has "always".

That is the most adorable thing ever.

This song has been in the back of my mind for about 6 or 7 years. I always remember it when I realize I don't have any real close friends or any "best" friends. Because when I listen to this song I always tear up thinking about the best friend I lost when I moved.(She's not dead by the way.) I could always be myself around her and its like I was wrenched away from the thing I hold dearest.

It's about 5 characters who are anorexic, transgender, a cutter, a drug addict, and an alcoholic. I can relate to the first 3 characters.

This song reminds me of someone.
The title literally translates as “ I have travelled the world, there is no one like you “
