If the European Court of Justice affirms this decision by the advocate general (as it probably will), add another 6 countries to the list of those at least recognizing same-sex marriages to be equal.
Canada legalized same sex marriages more than a dozen years ago. We withstood the assaults from the religious right, the social conservatives, and people who were just plain homophobic. Contrary to their predictions, the sky did not cave in, and today people could care less about it. Congratulations to LGBT people living in the EU. You fought for it, you earned it, you deserve happiness.
