yesterday I finally worked up the courage to come out to my mother (who I still live with), It went really well and she is being super supportive and everything.

It's a huge wight off my chest (even though it's only just the start) and I'm really grateful to all the people on this site who gave me advice when I really needed it.

    :grin:Thanks everyone!

That's so awesome  Congrats, girl! I'm inspired :muscle: I don't know when I'll do it, but I'm gonna talk to my mom about my dysphoria. I've finally decided that I don't have to make any decisions regarding transition just because I wanna be vocal about it. I just don't know whether I want to wait until she comes to visit for Thanksgiving or talk to her on the phone. I guess we'll see when the time is right.
Enough about me... sorry. ANYWHO. I'm happy for you and you should be proud of yourself!:clap::clap::clap::clap::tada::balloon::balloon::gay_pride_flag::balloon::tada:

It took me way too long (so nothing new there) but I just came out to two of my best friends over email. Hopefully this will give me the impetus to come out to the rest of my family.

Congratulations on coming out to your mom earlier, and to your best friends just now. That's pretty cool!

It doesn't matter how long it takes to come out. The most important thing is that you are doing it when you feel the right moment has come, and you feel comfortable sharing. Good luck with your next coming out. Hope it continues to go well for you!

I came out to three of my siblings yesterday.
My brothers seemed surprised but they both took it well. My little sister didn't say anything, but she passed me a note saying that she was excited to have an older sister (she has always been annoyed about being the only girl).
Now I'm out to everyone I live with, which feels great.

Also as I was going online to post this I checked my email, and one of the people I'd sent a coming out email to had replied. He said that it means a lot that I'd share that with him.

It's like I'm on a roll, I feel so good right now.

I've started the process of coming out to everyone I know. It'll still take a bit of time for me to tell everyone, but at least I've got the ball rolling now.

Loads of people know now, and the majority of them are being very supportive.

It's fantastic to hear that your coming out has gone so well, and that most of the people to whom you have come out to are supportive! Well done!

That's awesome! The first step of telling everybody was the hardest for me. Once I got past that, I was able to begin to think about what I wanted to do transition wise. I'm glad to hear that everybody so far has taken it well! That makes things so much easier.

Things are going good, basically everyone knows now and I haven't got any negative responses yet.
Yes, it was so adorable I kept the note.
Same here, everything seems so much easier now that I'm out.
