When waiting for HRT is like being a kid waiting for Christmas morning. It's just around the corner and god I can't wait.

when you go to the trans vigil and get overwhelmed by the emotion in the room, and inside me, that you start crying and all your girl friends come over and give you tons and tons of support and love.

When you‘re happy about only paying 1k for name change because you thought you‘d pay the double.

Getting the face morphing apps that other people get for kicks is serious business...

I was curious so I gave it a go,and this is what my "masculinized" face looked like. Check back in a year or two to see how close we got?

When your extended family is over for the holiday, so you have to present as your assigned birth gender even though it makes you want to bash your head into a wall.

When you constantly worry over applying to college and what box to check: "To come out or not to come out, that is the question"

When you also somehow can't wait for college because you'll finally be away from your transphobic parents.

the 1000€ is without document change cost. It’s only the court. Which is very good, I heard of some who paid up to 3000€. So far I‘m at 150€ with half the documents changed.

But we get our hormones and surgery paid, so all else you gotta pay is scar care and height increase/decrease if you feel the need to do that.

For physical transition I think I paid 250-300 all in all.

Well, I'm not sure how accurate those apps are. But I was a little bit shocked. Like, woah, it's still me but I look way more masculine than I'm used to. Actually I am looking more and more like my brothers these days and I'm sure moreso in the future months.

It's just called FaceApp and it's in the Google play store.

I've just tried it and I look identical to my father. People always say that we're like two peas in a pod, but with the filter...
But I couldn't "see myself" because it made me too old (and maybe too masculine? - much more than your case). But I liked the filter "old". And the filter "female" was aaaarggh nightmare xD
(Off topic: "hollywood" was funny because I challenged it with the ugliest pics I had, "no you can't win here")

i have insurance through work for HRT, and there's program for low income people to pay for drugs like HRT. i dont need to go to court, just fill out the forms and pay the costs, which next to some is not too bad. next to jump through a lot of hoops to get the surgery i need. plus i pay for things like laser hair removal, and later a hair transplant if i can come up with the $6000 plus for the procedure.

It's on IOS too. I took a pre hormones shot and gender swapped it. Was a little weird, but I would totally be fine if I came out like that.

when you decided on the way into work to try and maintain the proper pitch that the speech pathologist said was good for your voice. still working on the intonation. so far not bad, still a work in progress.

When you get excited over a drawing of yourself as your preferred gender. Then you get elated when your friends tell you you look beautiful in the drawing.

When you've started to transition yet still go to the bathroom of the birth gender, into which walks someone who does a double take and almost apologizes to you for walking into the "wrong" bathroom...

damn that face app fucked me up. I think its a sign im somewhere in-between and not ready for T as much as I keep dreaming about it. Then again maybe I can't make that decision based on a photo app. All I know is the male is what I think I look more like but not all the way, i look terrible with facial hair, and i know I just want to feel attractive and like myself but I have no idea what will do that.

    Does that make sense?

but what I was gonna add is,

you know you're trans when you sleep better when you use a packer/sock
you know you're trans when you can't have sex with strangers because you cant stop refering to your AFAB self as "hard"
you know you're trans when you haven't taken your binder off in a month even though you know its bad
you know you're trans when you break down over someone calling you femme
you know you're trans when you can't watch videos of yourself because you can't believe you look and sound like that
