I sometimes question whether I have attraction to guys. Everyone I meet assumes I'm into guys. Even when they can tell I'm interested in girls. So maybe I am bi. The bottom line is that I don't want to date a guy. I'll just be a political lesbian. I can choose to be that and my true orientation doesn't matter at all.
I don't want to sound stupid but I have never heard the term "political lesbian" before. What does that actually mean?
I'm sorry, what? What, pray tell, is a political lesbian? Can guys be political gay? Are there political bisexual people?
Aren't you like 50 years late? Anyway, from your posts, you seem to lean towards lesbian, anyway. So do other members. And there are plenty of lesbians who get hit by guys, not all of them femmes.
Political lesbians suck and contribute to homophobic stigma. From your post, you sound like a regular lesbian...no need to be confused. Political "lesbians" are straight or bisexual (who would normally date men) women who "choose" lesbianism out of hatred and spite for men. They believe real lesbians have no problems at all and don't deal with hardships since we don't deal with those "gross, inferior men". It sucks because it stereotypes real lesbians as man haters who choose their sexuality as the "better" choice. The better choice is not being hung up on labels....even if you feel an occasional attraction to men, it doesn't make you bi. Bisexuality is enjoying relationships and/or sex with men.
