Is it normal to look bi instead of gay when you cut your hair off?

I used to have long hair. I was sick of looking straight and not getting laid so I cut it off. Now it seems like I'm being read as bisexual. I really don't care for looking bisexual. I feel like I get more negative male attention that way. I wish guys could just look at me and know they can't hit on me.

Apparently I have one lol. I guess it's because people can see I'm putting effort into looking queer, but they're just incapable of imagining that I'm not interested in guys. So I get seen as bi as a consolation prize. Or maybe society can't imagine someone who comes across as gay, but doesn't live up to all stereotypes. I guess it's too much to hope for. I like incorporating androgynous touches to my style without doing stereotypical things like wearing flannel.

Yeah... unless you are super stereotypical people will make all kinds of assumptions. It might even have nothing to do with style but body and facial structure, the sound of your voice, etc. Maybe you are beautiful and no one can get pass the idea of a beautiful woman being gay. I don't think I "look" or "sound" gay myself and I get a lot of attention from guys. I personally hate it (even though I'm bi, I don't like being hit on by people I just met or don't like), so I understand the fustration. At some level, we all deal with unwanted attention. That's part of the human experince. I would encourage you to learn to cope with unwanted attention and handle interactions that leaves you feeling better.

I'd probably cope way better with male attention if I could get a girl.

I've heard of the "bi bob" haircut, but that's purely based on stereotypes.

I look super gay and guys still hit on me... I guess some of them are just a bit blind when they really want sex haha Once I'm out to all of my friends I intend to wear something with a rainbow flag as a guy repellant when I go out in clubs and bars
