So I found a salon who caters almost entirely to the LBGT community. Turns out they have a complete package I'm treating myself to. Hair, makeup and nails all at the same visit. Now thats living! Going right before my next visit with the Dr.

well i had my number 5 yesterday, the tech is pleased, there's markedly less hair and roughness when she was prepping me, and it didnt hurt as much when she was doing it. i use deadening cream but it still stung pretty bad last time, this time not bad and at a higher setting. she thinks we should be quite far along by april when i go full time.

Had my first counceling session today and I'm so over the moon with joy and hope that my goal of becoming my true self is attainable that I'm having trouble forming semi-coherent thoughts right now LOL

went to my voice therapy today, number 2 and she is happy with my progress, and started me on tone and flow exercises in addition to my pitch exercises. she liked my recordings and didnt have to correct it much when i was talking and doing the exercises. we also started on the non verbal things like hand gestures.

I've spent the weekend at a Buddhist monastery and it's been such a rich experience... Add to that I was assigned to the men's wing and haven't been misgendered once. I'm so happy.

My weekend journey is wrapping up. I'm well rested, well fed, and chilling out in a hotel room I rented with my own money. I took a shower, popped a Coke, and am watching cartoons in nothing but boxers. I couldn't be happier in this moment.

Been binding at work the past few days. I feel so much more me, clear, and whole when i'm doing that. When i inevitably have to take it off on my last break (so i do not wear it for too long) i feel different afterwards. Distracted, not as confident, just low level negative feelings that, if i were not out to myself (does that make sense?) I would not be able to pin down as dysphoria. I mean yeah i'm nervous wearing the binder at work and that makes me doubt myself but that is only b/c i am scared someone will notice and insult me or be mean or whatnot. And that is normal, is it not?

Tonight, I ordered my first binder. An actual, proper, underworks binder.

I have been using sports bras for years when I’ve been feeling uncomfortable with my chest but I’m hoping this will make even more of a difference.

I applied for gender-inclusive housing at one of the universities I might be attending next year. I don't know if an email got sent to my parents about it, but I honestly don't care. I came out to my mom over the summer and she's basically been ignoring it, so I don't know how she'll react when she finds out, but there's nothing she'll be able to do about it when I'm in college several hours away.

Awesome!! I like my underworks binder. Kinda wish i'd ordered a full length or a bra-sized one tho not the tri-top cause mine rides up a lot in the small of the back. But other than that i really like it, it compresses well and its breathable enough to wear at work no problem.

This morning, whilst walking past a bus stop on my way to work, a woman told her child to “move over to let that boy past”. I was the only one coming so I knew she was referring to me. Kind of ruined the moment when I said ‘thanks’ and she looked rather embarrassed when she heard my voice but it still made me smile. Amazing what a winter hat and jacket can do!

Alright, so.... Yesterday was my birthday and I'll be damned if it wasn't the best birthday of my life.

I've mentioned I have a crush here before and I've been talking to her a lot the last six months and we've grown close over this time, which is great, because she's the type of person that plays her cards close to her chest.

Well, yesterday, she told me she was trans. I had honestly never guessed and I was surprised to be sure, but it didn't even phase me--I was just happy she trusted me with that.

    I'm really happy.

Had my consultation with the gender specialist. All I need to start T is a letter from my therapist and they need to run blood work. So it looks like I could be on it by the end of the year. Happy times...

This is silly. But I inherited (xD) some dad's pajamas. Goodbye embarassing pink cute pajamas with animals. And I'll sleep soon at friends' house with them.

I was asleep at the last train stop and was suddenly waken up by someone who sir'd me. Being sir'd + half sleeping + confusion = how dumb my face must have been.
