How do i go about having a relationship with someone that fits my sexuality? When I was like 5 years old I asked my mom, "what if I'm a lesbian?" and her answer was to tell me i wasnt she would know... I always knew i waz different but hid the truth from myself for a long time. Finally i met a guy who started taking me to bdsm-kink events and seeing a wide range of happy people has made me realise i desperately want a romantic and sexual relationship with a woman but I live in a rural area where there are no outlets to meet women... Should I move to the city? Help!
How far away from you is the city? Do you have the option to move? Have you tried online dating apps?
A two hour drive one way. It would be hard but i could move. All i find on dating apps like HER is women who live in the city!
I guess it’s up to you, you could travel to begin with just to start meeting people and then look to move?
Are there any active LGBT meet-up groups that you could try out? I live in a pretty rural area as well, but was able to find a few active groups in the nearest decent sized city to me (about an hour away).
I don't know about meetup groups. Where would I look for something like that? Online but I don't know where...
Try to find the Facebook of the nearest pride town( I think you can call it this?) to you. I found a lot of great activities/meetings just by checking my local pride Facebook
Hey @Boredbody , Search on meetup.com using all the keywords you can think of because different group creators use different words. So: lgbt, lesbian, bisexual women, queer, gay, women only, etc. If I'm not mistaken it will let you specify how far out of your area to look. Good luck!
OMG I just searched meetup.com (I had never heard of it) and there are soooo many groups, San Diego Bi Women, Bi bar, Lesbian meet ups lol my eyes are popping out so many things.
I haven’t really found much in my area but will try searching for those other words too so thanks for the tip.
Meet-up is great! I just went to a cooking class last night that I found through meet-up. I had heard of it, but never really explored it until I moved out and was looking for ways to get out and meet people.
My ex would have hated it as well! It was so invigorating just to try something that I have always wanted to do but been unable too for whatever reason.
