I've been into comics my whole life. I'll read comics from any country and from any genre. It just has to be good.

The comic series 'Prophet' is really cool (it has nothing to do with religion lol it's a scifi comic and John Prophet is the main character.

Hey, I like comics too! Here's some recommendations/Some of my favorites.

-Saga (Some really rad female characters, lots of diversity, covers real social issues in a sci-fi/fantasy setting, a few LGBT characters including a Trans woman. The way she's written so far seems to be amazing - not ignoring her trans identity but not making it the most interesting thing about her, either)

-Goldie Vance, Jonesy, and Zodiac Starforce (all have cute art, good plots, female protags, as well as some sapphic themes.)

-Princess Princess (Super cute but short comic about a princess who is rescued by a female knight)

-Kim & Kim (Two rad female protagonists and some general queer things, trans woman who's written really well)

Skimming through this (as a lover of comics myself), I noticed that no one mentioned The Wicked + The Divine. Some of the concepts are a bit esoteric and the plot is a bit meandering now, but it started off really strong, managing to create morally complex characters that reflect different "flavors" of popstar. The premise involves reimagining various gods and figures from world mythologies and religions as popstars, and said characters represent a mammoth arrange of ethnicities, sexualities, and genders. Would really recommend it for fans of mythology, music, and pop culture in general.

I read a few comic series, but I also don’t read many superhero comics. Comics I do enjoy:

    > I, Vampire (DC New 52 series that got cancelled)
    > American Vampire
    > Tank Girl
    > The Walking Dead (got boring though)
    > The Crow
    > Johnny the Homicidal Maniac (used to read when I was a teen)
    > Saga
    > Life Sucks
    > Akira (technically a manga, but it’s my most current read)

I haven’t finished reading all of those comics though, and some of them are on my “to read list” haha. But those are just some of the comic series I’m interested in. Some of them I’ve barely read...I tend to get really excited about a new series, check it out, then forget about it haha. But eventually I’ll get around to reading most of these listed above.

As you can probably tell, I have a propensity for somewhat darker comic series, so if anyone’s got any to recommend, I’m always open to checking some out as well.

    Happy reading y’all!

Yes hello I'm a comic book nerd
I recommend Doom Patrol and Umbrella Academy (both published by Dark Horse) if you're looking for good female protagonists (and lesbian representation!).

    YES! WicDiv is SOOOOO good.

Also, Wet Moon by Sophie Campbell. Excellent queer/diverse body types representation.
