Hey guys! I was pretty active on the site a few years ago, but kind of fell away. But I'm back! I want to help people who are just realizing their sexuality, inform those with questions, and help people to generally feel good about who they are and life in general!

    So, the basics!

My name is Doug, though I'd appreciate being called Shoe if it's an informal setting. I'm 23 (almost 24), bisexual, and I live with my girlfriend of (almost) six years, Jenny. I have two cats, Gus and Eva, on whom I spend entirely too much money.

I play trombone in too many bands, and am a full time student. Currently I'm unemployed, but that just means I get to have a good time!

If there's anything else you want to know, please don't hesitate to ask!

No worries at all, my dude!

When I first realized that I'm no, I was working third shift security, meaning from midnight to 8AM, I was literally by myself in a large glass box. It gave me a lot of time to think, and I got really introspective. After a while, I cam here and asked some questions and it all clicked into place.

As for who I'm out to, I have the privilege of being able to publicly be out to the world.

    Wow that's cool
I can't even come out to my dog or some close friends I went to highschool with

I do feel like it's easy to come out to random people

Did you lose any friends or family by coming out?

And do they respect your decision?
    My dog have no choice

You did say that you live with people

have being bisexual effected them or they don't care

I'm sorry if this is to many questions
I've just never meet a bisexual maybe I have I just have not known that they was

have a good day today

No problem at all, my darling! I'm here to help educate.

Even now, there's always a little anxiety coming out. You never really know how people will react, so it's a bit nerve wracking. The responses I've gotten have been overwhelmingly positive.

I'm very fortunate to have some amazing friends, and they all accepted me without batting an eye. My dad was totally fine with it, but I still have problems with my mom occasionally. I like to joke about my sexuality a bit (because I'm a sarcastic little sausage), and it always makes mom really uncomfortable.

I was three years into my current relationship when I realized I'm no. It was a very emotional experience for both of us when I came out, but she loves and supports me no matter what. She really is quite amazing, and there hasn't really been any change in the relationship. We talk about cute actors more, and she makes fun of me sometimes (all in good fun), but things have been overwhelmingly positive for me.

A trombone, it's the long slidey one. That's about as good as I can do. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: It's got a bell, and a slide that you move to make different notes. It's a brass instrument.

I'm involved in a few different bands: A big band playing jazz charts, a concert band playing more classical pieces, and a ska band that plays mostly originals, with some covers.

Since I've been gone? Well, I've moved to a new city, started going to school again, gone through a few different jobs, started anti-anxiety meds (Holy shit, these things are great), and I've been writing a LOOOOOT more. Been keeping busy!

It's all shiny and new! I dig it! It seems a lot more user friendly than the old site, too. All about it.
