My daughter one day realized demisexual defined her feelings and is very happy with that. She hasn't dated guys much, but wants to. Recently, she was invited to a homecoming dance by a guy (trans). We fear it will further her social status as gay, but she wants to try straight dating. She is a senior in HS, and I want her to be prepared for decisions in college. She has chosen to stick with straight dating and not act upon any physical relationship with her girlfriends.

Any advice for a talented and smart girl going to college?

Your daughter appears to be a very smart and mature girl. I think she will probably think thing through before she makes any decision.
All you can do is what you are doing already, supporting her and being there for her.

Just keep in mind that even f she ends up dating another girl, they can still have children with a male relative of one of them. Or consider other options. So no stress. Other than that... It can be hard, it can :/ If I were to give advice to my younger self it would be to date whoever you (general "you") feel comfortable dating, with whoever it feels good and to not do something against yourself, whether it would be dating as straight or gay. People will label... no need to be bothered by it.

I think emerry means is that she can still have children even if she ends up with a woman long term. There's plenty of ways same-sex couples can now have children, for example, insemination, adoption, surrogacy or with help from a relative.
