I love baking, it's one of my favorite things to do. I make these smore bar cookies that are amazing. I'm a cookie and quick bread person. I can bake other stuff but that's what I really enjoy. I do cook and enjoy it but I prefer baking so much more.

I took a couple of cooking courses when I was graduating from high school and a boyfriend of mine mom had taught me to cook some things as well. I have learned to bake a cake and bread, rolls and biscuits. However, two of my favorite dishes to make is: Chicken and Broccoli Fettuccine and Roasted Chicken and Garlic Linguine. Just a couple off the top of my head.

 

I really love baking/cooking I took a few classes on it at my community college, My favorite thing to bake is Cinnamon Rolls from scratch and my favorite thing to cook is Grilled Chicken

 

I just learned how to make pastry. Lots of trial and error. I do make good butter tarts.(it's a Canadian treat). I like to make soups and stews.

 

I enjoy making tiramisu and other no-baked cheesecakes. I like to cook pasta, curry and fried rice.

 

I like cooking main course dishes and desserts. I like stews because it's just like go with it, put in those beans, why not paprika? But I also like baking, especially cakes

 

OMG, GalleyGirl! Stews and Paprika! My favorite dish to make is Hungarian Gulash Soup. And I make it with my own recipe based on several traditional recipes, but always with Hungarian paprika! I've always had rave reviews when I make my version of Gulash. That always makes me feel good!

 

I hate being in the kitchen. I'm a hell of a good cook, I just can't stand doing it. Not sure why, but I would rather go out to eat than sit in the kitchen.

 

Hey Quantumreality: I posted those two recipes on my profile. I replaced the Roasted Chicken and Garlic recipe with Linguine instead of Risotto and peas and carrots as to what the original recipe called for. You can use fettuccine or linguine for the Chicken and Broccoli recipe also. Hope you like them. JS

Hungarian goulash soup sounds amazing, will have to give that a try sometime! One of my favourites is thai curry, especially with lime

 

My idea of cooking is take item out of freezer, stick in microwave, turn on microwave.

 

I really enjoy baking. Around this time of year I will start my Christmas time baking. Here is a list of all the different cookies and squares I bake, yes I am a little crazy. Sometimes I will take them into the place I am working. Everyone always seems to like everything I have made.

- 3 different types of butter tarts (1 with raisins, 1 with choc chips, 1 plain)
- Butter tart square
- Ginger bread cake (sometimes with cream cheese icing)
- Banana Bread
- Brownies
- Pound Cake
- Drumstick Cheesecake (it's a frozen cheesecake made with peanut butter, cool whip and cream cheese, very good!)
- Lemon poppy seed bread
- Nuts & Bolts
- Choc chip shortbread cookies
- Whipped shortbread cookies
- Sugar cookies
- Snickerdoodles
- Oatmeal choc chip cookies
- Peanut butter choc chip cookies
- Chocolate Chip cookies
- Molasses cookies (a soft version of ginger snaps)
- Chocolate and Vanilla sachertorte cookies (a rolled cookie with jam and chocolate on top)
- Coconut macaroons

I also do know how to cook. When I was in high school I took cook training for grades 11 & 12. Plus I grew up with both my parents being cooks and both my grandparents cooked at home as well.

 

I love baking. Cakes mostly, I like cooking too once I have a recipe to follow. I don't like a lot of foods so I prefer to cook for others. I love cakes though so they are my favorite things to cook.

Sometimes. Due to a metabolism issue, I need to eat a minimum of 5-6 meals a day. This means I do a LOT of cooking and baking. Sometimes it's a necessary evil, other times I enjoy it.

I very much enjoy making cookies, stir-fry (on the fly), and trying new recipes.

I make a LOT of crock pot meals (8 qt size) and jasmine rice in the rice cooker (10 cup size).

 

I like to bake yes.

I like to cook as well. I can make really good fried chicken/chicken wings, and chicken quesadillas the best though.

 

I love helping my Mom cook and bake. Probably my favorite thing to cook is Lasagna and Pies are my favorite things to bake.
