Probably comes from a place of not accepting yourself yet. I might have done that when I was newly out too.

Makes perfect sense. Sometimes I feel this way and I'll watch some TV show that has some lesbian relationships in it. I'll literally get into a show just because of a lesbian character. It seems like a sorta silly way to end up choosing things to watch, very shallow, i dunno... but it absolutely helps. The cute romances make me feel happy about it all. Tbh I encourage that sort of thing, it's affirming.

I do the same thing! I mostly follow gay couples, It makes me feel more accepted and like it's normal to feel this way.

I do that too. It gives me assurance of some sort, that those couples exist and are happy (Ellen -Portia type).

I am particularly obsessed with couples where one of the women was straight until meeting one particular lesbian. (Gee, I wonder why?)

My favorites are Glennon Doyle with Abby Wambach, and Tig Notaro with Stephanie Allyne, and Elizabeth Gilbert with Rayya Elias. Google each couple. Swooooooon.
