Wishing I was at the beach like what seems to be 90 percent of my fb friends. Cold corona in hand, drunk beyond recognition.
Being drunk on a beach sounds dangerous and irresponsible you could easily drown. It's not something to aspire to.
Yea the closest beach to me is like 9 hrs away so even just seeing the ocean in person gets me excited haha
This. It's important to remember, people glamorize things on social media. Always making it look better than it actually is. I get that you'd rather be on the beach, which is great but like I said, people glamorize things on social media. Not just talking about these pictures, but also happy couple things and foods they eat, etc. Speaking of, I seriously don't get why someone would post pictures of their food though, but that's just me being weird, lol.
Social media can be a cancer for the person who feels their life might not be meeting their expectations (I haven't had a Facebook account since high school, though I will upload my hiking photos to Instagram). People do highlight the best parts of their life and cover up the less savory. Still, nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy yourself--just set it as a goal, even if it can't happen right at the moment you'd want it to. I'll gladly join you on the beach for some drunken carousing. Sounds like a break from life that I'm past due.
Agreed about social media. I have a Facebook but very rarely do I post anything. I really have weeded out the people I don't care to hear from too. I have a bunch of news and sports pages liked so I mainly just read through them. It just seems as though everyone on there went to the beach all in the same month haha. I just wish I was enjoying some beach right now instead of having to work all the time lol.
