    > "American life" (Madonna)
    Only for these words:
Do I have to change my name? / Will it get me far? / Should I lose some weight? [...] // I tried to be a boy, / I tried to be a girl / I tried to be a mess, / I tried to be the best / I guess I did it wrong, [...] // So, I went into a bar looking for sympathy / A little company / I tried to find a friend / It's more easily said / it's always been the same
Doh. Guys think I'm flirting with them or they keep me at a distance because I'm not "one of them". With women, I must be fake acting like a girl or I end up in the corner of the group because I don't know what to say and I'm completely uninterested in what they talk about (like, who cares if A acted this but probably ment that because they had to sublty offend B and I'm still trying to remember faces and names and people and who is who... gosh.)
    So I'm a loner.

    > "Changes" (David Bowie)
I still don't know what I was waiting for / And my time was running wild / A million dead-end streets / And every time I thought I'd got it made / It seemed the taste was not so sweet / So I turned myself to face me / But I've never caught a glimpse / Of how the others must see the faker / I'm much too fast to take that test // Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes / (Turn and face the strange) [...] // And these children that you spit on / As they try to change their worlds [...] / They're quite aware of what they're going through [...] // Don't tell them to grow up and out of it

    > "Change" (Tracy Chapman)
If you knew that you would find a truth / That brings a pain that can't be soothed / Would you change? [...] // How bad how good does it need to get? [...] // If not for the good why risk falling

Daughter- Alice in chains. I think the main line "don't call me daughter" speaks for itself.

Also alice in chains- Got me Wrong. Dont know why really, its just always felt relatable to

"Daughter" is actually a Pearl Jam song.

I made a whole playlist of these months back, if you can find it.

    Placebo - Burger Queen
androgynous queer boy I guess, a friend of mine who is a huge Placebo fan even said he associates it with me xD

    Garbage - Cherry Lips
well, it talks about a really pretty crossdresser, but still (?)

    another one about crossdressers:
Green Day - Kind for a day
    (princess by dawn!)

    Garbage - Androgyny

The Replacements - Androgynous (or Joan Jett's cover, it sounds really awesome)

    Boyinaband - Spectrum
relatable for the whole LGBTQ+ community closeted members, especially to me whoever I'll turn out to be..

    Johnny Thunders - I'm a Boy I'm a Girl

    Young Guns- Bones

    "Down under the night sky
    I lay and wait
    Praying to whoever
    Will listen to me
    I founded my own cross
    Been clutched by its weight
    There's no darker message
    Than turning your face

I'll see you down the end of the road
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)
    Bones (bones)
I feel it in my bones (bones)
    Bones (bones)
I'll do this on my own
Oh oh oh oh bones bones oh

    When thin spirit swelling
My poor flesh is always weak
    I found everything I needed
    Right beneath my skin, oh

I'll see you down the end of the road
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)
    Bones (bones)
I feel it in my bones (bones)
    Bones (bones)
I'll do this on my own

We're all architects of our own private hell
No one can hurt us like we hurt ourselves

I'll see you down the end of the road
I deal in a different story
Oh, I will never let go again
I feel it in my bones (bones)
    Bones (bones)
I feel it in my bones (bones)
    Bones (bones)
    I know I'm not alone
Oh oh oh oh bones bones oh

Lyrics tell nothing, but the video has a non binary / gender neutral vibe.
All dancers wear a kinda skirt (which reminds me of gender neutral fashion) and most have their head shaved; female dancers have a tight top and they look like almost binding. There's a scene where a dancer takes a look in a mirror that is actually the face of a human figure (HAHAH gender questioning. *laughs sadly and hysterically*).

A pretty obvious one, but Lola by The Kinks. Not sure if it counts as encouraging, but for it's time it was a big step.
