So I am considering coming out to my parents... (as lesbian). I believe that they would be accepting and it is safe for me to come out. They suspect that I like girls and have asked me straight out multiple times but I denied it as I wasn't ready... I was wondering if I came out as lesbian soon, would it be weird for them if I went to a school dance with a guy? I would let them know that I am still questioning a small attraction that I may have for guys whether it be out of fear of accepting myself or if it is real...
I think it's ok to come out and go to the dance with a guy I mean you could just be friends, and I feel you find you like him you can just explain it.
Its absolutely okay, I go out dancing with my lady friends all of the time and Im gay. We often go out to dance Merengue which is a very sexual type of dance, if its fun fun do it. Dont worry about being bi or not, it seems alot of you younger people here are so worried about labels.
This is the important part. People (even parents!) can deal with a lot if it is explained calmly. From your other posts I think you are mature enough. And anyway, lesbians/gay guys are allowed a few exceptions. (Heh according to me with all my non-authority.) Only real essentialists get worked up. They are the problem.
