So apparently The L Word is getting a sequel. What are your guys thoughts on this? I haven't watched the original show yet. Should I? I feel like it's a lesbian right of passage to watch it lol.

I was just about to make a thread about this! Lol.
I think the L Word is definitely a good show. The only issue that I had with it is that I think it had too much sex. The reason why I say this is because it would have been nice if it could have been a show that children or adults could watch, like Friends. I think it's somewhat disrespectful how lesbians are oversexualized in media. Though I understand at the time of the original show they were just doing that to try to attract an audience, I would hope that now, it's possible for them to attract an audience without them doing this.

I hated the original, so I probably won't be interested.

I recently watched the show almost two years ago. It was good for it's time. I don't think it has the best lesbian representation. The show starts off ok but the ending leaves you confused. Tbh I watched this show when I was questioning it's embarrassing thinking about it now. I say watch the first season to give it a feel. The "pretty lesbians" did have me a little insecure about how my dating life is going to be like.

I see. I'll probably watch some of it when I have the time. I don't usually watch tv to begin with so I'll have to really like the show to continue watching it. I have heard lots of people watched it when they were questioning, I had just never heard of the show which is probably why I haven't!

This show really helped me a couple of years ago when I was seriously questioning. It is far from perfect but I'm so grateful I found it (only wish it would reappear on Netflix!). I can't wait for the reboot!

Good idea! I wonder how I can get my hands on the rest of the series. I dont want pirate stuff but I also cant buy the box set without my parents going on high alert! I was watching this tv show once with my dad and it had a lesbian couple, he made me leave the room when they kissed!!!!!! . Little did he know I had already watched the whole season ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It was, I was like wtfffff. My father is an interesting man. He tried to shield me from the gay agenda I guess. Sadly, he seems to have failed. Thats even more awkward XD
