What are some things you enjoy doing that serve as a sort of therapy for you? It doesn't necessarily have to be related to a mental health issue.

Writing, especially creative writing. Developing my characters and letting out their feelings is a way to release my own, even if our feelings and life stories are completely different.

I garden. I have a vegetable garden and then also have stated growing annuals and perennials from seed to landscape my yard. It has become a huge stress reliever for me.

I find cleaning to be very therapeutic, especially when I'm under a lot of emotional stress. Sitting by the ocean and just watching the waves is also soothing for me.

Being outdoors, be it hiking, kayaking, or just sitting outside and immersing myself in nature is super therapeutic to me. Drawing and creative writing helps clear any negative thoughts. At night, meditation is so refreshing.

I make mosaics with polymer clay or paper. Play computer games. Read. Watch something silly like Bob's Burgers. Listen to music. Play with my dog. Listen to audio recordings of rain storms, or the ocean (basically anything water related) if I am too lazy to go out.

Cleaning. I can clean the whole house in less than a day if I'm angry/frustrated/bored enough. Walking also helps out a ton, and I'll do it any time of day or night, regardless of weather. For whatever reason taking a long walk around town, alone, really helps me settle and organize my thoughts. Playing solitaire while listening to music before bed also really calms my mind and tires me out, but the music I have to listen to is either Pentatonix or chillstep. Anything else gets me too wound up along with watching videos of wrestling (WWE, WCW, ECW, etc.). Reading is touch and go as it depends on what I'm reading at the time

It may sound strange but.. listening to Children of Bodom album "Stockholm Knockout Live: Chaos Ridden Years" does the trick for me, and I don't know why or how it's possible. It makes me relax and feel at peace with myself (I know, something is wired wrong in my brain )
I also like to read (books or mangas) because it helps me to "escape" from the real world

Oddly, covering books with protective plastic. My mother is a librarian at my old grade school, and she'd bring home books to cover, I started helping her and loved doing it. Now, whenever I get a hardcover book, I want to cover it to preserve it longer.

Also wrapping gifts, popping bubble wrap, coloring, and people watching.

Personally I play the piano or cello. If I am feeling up to it I may workout. Baking is very calming to me.

Though lately I have been keeping a daily journal. I bought one with 365 pages so I could write one page every day for a year. I am writing it to myself, ten years in the future. While I doubt it will survive for ten years (who knows) the practice has been forcing me to consider even being alive in ten years. With depression I often feel like I'm just going to fade away and be dead, or that I don't have a future, but this practice if writing every day, even if it's rubbish, to future Alec keeps me grounded in what I'm fighting for. I also write questions for my future self. Hopefully when I'm there, it will help me remember who I was. And for now it helps me to have a little hope.

Taking long hikes, spending time out in nature. I haven't been able to do it in a while, but I really want to get out and start hiking again.

Cleaning is therapeutic in a way too, especially when I take the time to clean out my computer and delete junk, update the BIOS. It feels good to get rid of unnecessary items and have things work fast again.

I usually just fill up all my time with meaningless things so I never have to deal with anything that bothers me...

When I can get out of the city I like to go hiking in the woods. Nothing but just the sound of nature around me is soothing. I also find jogging to be good for clearing the mind.
